Jones did a good job at Post, they went 3-7 this year playing pretty much all sophomores...they had a total of 4 seniors on the team...the numbers are way up in the junior high program and he left that program in very good shape.  Jones has a very good track record including his time as an OC at Sinton where he helped get them to the state championship game in 2001...he did a good job at Refugio as well...Jones is a very good hire for Giddings..the issue in Giddings will be talent..they simply dont have as much of it as they did a few years back.

Ennis is one of the highest paying jobs in DFW. Good facilities, but talent is not there for the next couple of years. They were 2-8 last year and I expect similar results this year.  They are 2 years away from being a playoff team IMO

Not this year, LT, Steele and Pearland played outstanding games

Just shows you how dominant DFW has been when they win as many titles as Austin, Houston and San Antonio and its considered a bad year.

trying to request crednetials from BISD...been told two different things by two different people on the procedure for a credential request...starting to get a bit worried this could turn into a cluster...anyone know who I need to talk to so I can be able to cover the games Saturday?

For me when I am doing the poll I generally won't move teams down for winning...so sometimes if a lot of teams in front of you lose you might move up...but if everyone in front of you wins you may stay the same...i just try to be consistent with my formula....

Some of my favorite 3A Stadiums are Sweetwater Brownwood Abilene Wylie Gladewater Paris (new one is nice) Multi-School ISD's with 3A schools that have nice stadiums North Forney Frisco (Pizza Hut Park) Dallas ISD (Kincaide Stadium)

I think Dayton and Brenham will be fighting out for the Region 3 crown again

In addition to seeing the double header in Beaumont on Oct. 30 I'm also going to be seeing the Alice-Pt Arthur Memorial game on Sept. 11 in Alice....should be a fun game...heard Alice packs the house and they are a decent 4A team
