Trust me if Anahuac plays good they might put up 61. That's with no turnovers, no penalties and dropped passes. And if EC does the same...they might put up 62.

ok Mike maybe a little homer in that opinion but no doubt hes had success as a play caller at both programs.  Anahuac will be fun to watch and see if it grows. 

I do understand that you might disagree with ryker's notion that the playcalling under Coach Neece is "the best in 3A."  But ryker does have evidence to put him up there with others.
With Kirbyville, I don't know what the issue really is, but the results of the Neece era versus the post Neece era do indicate there was a recipe that Neece had that his successors have yet to be able to replicate.
As to Newton, I may be one of the few, but I think that Neece was a big cog in Newton's offensive success as he made the passing game at Newton more a part of the Eagle offense than in the past.  Now, I'll have to agree that credit to that also goes to players that have graduated like Josh Foster, Tamauzia Brown and Noah Williams.  But all those parts are gone and we'll have to see how the new parts fit in.
This is certainly not a knock of former Newton OC Bryan Barbay as he definitely has shown his stuff at Coldspring, Newton and is currently doing so at Jasper.
But yeah, Anahuac definitely needed something and I agree with ryker that Greg Neece might just be it.

I was saying I'm not surprised the tempo and play calling are getting better.  You now have the best play calling in 3a.  

Newton was one of the best teams LCM will see all year.

WOS doesn’t technically have to be like North Shore or Duncanville, if they have team speed and are physical upfront then in Mustangnation#1s’ account they have physical speed....

They stormed the field because it was an historic win for the program. It was the program's 500 win which elevated them to being the winningest football program in the state of Texas for winning percentage, all classification.

That look on his face was from thinking about: losing state at Dallas Lincoln, having a beast at Skyline only to see his D couldn't stop Kyler and then thinking he had that ship finally locked up only to have the football gawds snatch it away. 

If Newton gets the right head coach( Local coach which is already coaching at Newton) then Newton will make a run. If they get someone from outside, then the Newton coaching program will probably be destroyed. I do not think the SB will allow this to happen. The Newton players have bought into a program and that program needs to continue on. That's what the kids want and will accept.

A familiar name in Kville will bring the D to  the Panthers.  They better get ready to work at a fast pace. 

Today was Greg's first day.  I'm not sure of the status of some of names in thier current situation so until it becomes official I'm not saying any names.  When I get the go ahead I'll post.

Surprised that Neece took the Anahuac job. He told me a few months ago that he did not want a head coaching job. He knew that the Newton Job was probably his if he wanted it. Seems odd that he took a head/AD job at a school which has a losing tradition when he probably could have had the Newton job. Coach  Neece is an outstanding person and a really good coach. If the kids will buy into his program, Anahuac will be a better team.

I think both are great coaches... When WT walks away, I think Drew would be the best fit for the Newton job.  Been around him a lot the last few years.  Great coach, great person, even better with the kids.  He is very deserving of that opportunity also.

No one predicted our preseason schedule would turn out the way it was & even still you guys didnt face anyone near the caliber of WOS. Woodville is a area team so i root for you guys but its looks bad when you continually have a good regular season record but not even a viable playoff threat. 

You could probably say without Woodvilles stud RB then it wouldn’t be a contest either. I mean you can’t really say “oh well without these two it isn’t a contes”. I mean it’s small school football. Of course one or two players have a huge impact. For the record I picked Woodville to win this game. So let’s turn it around eagles
