Not only to Saveat but to guys like Mike T as well he's done a great job of getting those kids to buy in and work on their games. It's crazy yall give English credit and don't give Saveat any when his resume is 10x better than English.....

I don't have to condemn them they're already being punished...however them stealing money didn't stop me from getting an education...some of you like to try and make it seem as though them stealing the money effected the kids SOOOOOO much lol when in actuality it didn't all my years of going to school in BISD I've never felt deprived of my education. I truly believe that most of you all are happy that there the largest school district in the area is no longer ran by majority black people. Another thing I've noticed is it mostly people from outside the Beaumont area and folks that don't have kids attending BISD schools like why you even care whats going on? I hardly ever see people from Beaumont saying negative things about whats going on in the district...So IMO what I previously stated has to be the reason for most of the comments on here. 

I told you what it was...Boyd took the backseat to let Comeaux shine and get some college looks. I spoke with him before the playoffs started and he told me he would be all business come playoff time this isn't an coincidence Comeaux has never been better than Boyd Soulja you're delusional.

Josh Boyd is legit one of the best guards in the state and has been the best player in the area I remember y'all called me crazy when I said he was better than Tj & Nijal....then you even had folks on here saying he wasn't the best on his team he told me before the playoffs started he was coming to play and he wasn't lying. Shout out to Ozen coaching staff had a brilliant game plan and executed.

Since TEA has taken over the school's in BISD have gotten worse you're missing the point. 

I've watched both teams play and their solid teams but nothing overly impressive from what I saw....Bush will give Ozen problems cause they some size and a couple D-1 players that can go they eerily similar to Central actually. On the other hand Elkins reminds me of Ozen they have EXTREMELY good guard play and lack size however I seen that they like to run a lot and they could lead to be a disaster for them against Central they don't have the size nor athleticism to run with Central. Bush presents a lot tougher match up for Ozen but if Ozen beats them I definitely wouldn't consider it an upset. Here's the game of Elkins & Bush check it out and give your own analysis,

Na I definitely think Boys & Comeaux along with Boyd, Comeaux & Hunter have to be in the convo for the best backcourt in the state the past two years and I'll take Boyd over both of them kids from Atascosita all they do is shoot 3's and I stick by what I said previously Ozen would likely beat Atascosita...but I'm watching the Elkins & Bush game and the more I watch the less I am impressed if these are the only teams in region 3 I like both Central & Ozen's way I like their chances especially Ozen's.

Reading the comments from some of the guys who voted on this award explains why this award has been a joke for years and reasons why they should get people to vote who actually know about football. "How can you say a kid that had over 200 tackles shouldn't of been nominated for this award?" Well easy turn on the film...if what I saw on that kid hudl is the best defensive player in the area then man SETX is in bad shape. Furthermore lets talk about these 200 tackles that you guys love to speak of, if you don't know tackles ARE NOT official stats...so all tackles that were turned in for WRS nominations were from the coaching staffs of each player meaning no-one can confirm or deny them. So we have to look at those 200 tackles and take them with a grain of salt. I would think the people who's on the voting panel would know this kinda stuff smh. You would think these reporters would actually watch these kids before they make a vote instead of just looking at the stats. So if you turn on some film and watch Innis & Tims you'd know it was highway robbery, and I'll say it again from what I saw on the Tims kid hudl he shouldn't of been nominated for this award period. Innis is the 9th rated player in the country at his position along with being a 4 star recruit and going play for a premier big 12 school and you mean to tell me he isn't the best defense player in SETX? You've got to be kidding me man. As far as DT and JD goes DT is a much superior football player no matter how you try to slice it or dice it....he was the best offensive player in SETX and anybody with any sort of knowledge about football knows it. And another thing I want to point out you mean to tell me Devwah Whaley, Keith Corbin or Calvin Tyler weren't among the best players in setx? They weren't good enough to even be nominated for this award? You voters are terrible and have no knowledge of the game which is why this award is a joke. It's really a shame two kids weren't giving an award they very well deserved and worked hard for.
Lastly I beg those of you guys thats saying I'm hating to watch the film without your homer glasses on and judge unbiasedly without including team accomplishments etc. And honestly tell me who the best players were.

Not hating at all but a kid that put up 70 Td's and sat out almost just as many games as JD did and played less should've won this award easily....you mentioned the state championship game where the game was mostly dominated by the DEFENSE not the offense. JD did nothing special in the state championship game if we're being honest. No way JD was the best offensive player in the area, we need to get guys that actually have knowledge of the game to vote on these awards instead of a bunch of news guys that don't have a clue smh this award has been consistently robbing kids of being rewarded for the hard work they've put in all season it's a disgrace.  

Reasons why this award is and always have been a joke....I lost this award to a guy that I was clearly better than and had better stats etc. And now this smh lol

Don't mind the kid on defense winning although the safety from WB was better and had better stats but winning a state title doesn't mean you're the best offensive or defensive player in the area it means you had the best "TEAM" if thats the case Peyton Manning should've won Super Bowl MVP

So many things you are wrong about in this statement....for one I never played for Nelson two without athletics I would've never gone to college me or anybody else in my high school class that played sports. I was the first person amongst my siblings to go to college, so I go back to my original statement athletics are some kids(like myself, Willie Jefferson, Breon etc.) only way out. My parents couldn't afford to pay for me to go to school neither could those parents of the guys I just mentioned. In the 9th grade I knew that my only way into college would be through athletics. My development had nothing to do with any coach or workout facility the butch wasn't even around when I was in school. Me and the other guys that went to college did so off strictly natural ability we definitely didn't lift weights like we supposed to. Now maybe if there were an state of the art facility in place we would've worked out and who knows maybe even won a few more games.

While you do have a good point...athletics are some kids only way out so I disagree especially for schools thats in the inner city. Athletics have changed a lot of kids lives most of the teams that are really successful on the field/court it tends to translate in the classroom as well.
