Yep.  Every time I see Newton and things I Saud they need to get better at, they do.  Team is a freight train to the state title game.  Watch.  

Me too.  Having followed Vidor for many years, I love to see a school program improving, and Deweyville is doing that.  I got the Pirates beating WS and making the playoffs, which is well deserved after quite a few close losses.  Saw them at Evadale.  Played a heckuva game.

As I've said before....  See you at state, Eagles.  I've ranted and raved already saying I believe y'all should be higher in the area rankings.

Going against my heart, I'll pick Groveton.  I know the Pirates have improved, but 58-0 last year.  They haven't improved that much.  On the flip side, Groveton not as good, so I'm still hoping for a Deweyville win.  
Please Pirates, prove me wrong.

I have watched the pirates play two games, they have gritty defense and lack a little on offense. I think the defense is good enough to get them a win.

I think Groveton has more talent, but the Pirates have a lot of heart and I do believe they have a better team this year. Prouse has really done a number with these boys. Hoping the Pirates shock everyone and pull through this week.

Every game Newton plays will be a massacre until pretty deep in the playoffs.  They'll still win just won't be as one sided...I'm pretty confident in saying Newton may have a shot at it this year.

Keep your mouth shut if you don’t have a clue what’s going on. It got like that because of Crockett not because Newton wanted it too. Tried to run clock they said no, they kept passing over and over again. So Newton would get a pick or a fumble recovery. Kicked 2 FGs on 1st down. So shut up and worry about trying to win games in Kirbyville and don’t worry about the winners in Newton Tx

We haven't even played our pee wee game tomorrow and I am already practicing my complaining at home.

Newton Soars to a Victory.  Crockett is very young and inexperienced, Newton will have the scoreboard remote control and call the final score.  Crockett is a great program but they graduated too much talent last year and it is hurting them this year.  
With that being said:

Newton will score early and often. Only team that can play with Newton is Newton. Much better than everyone on their schedule. 
 

Wow, Crockett lost last year by 21 points (42-21) Crockett is not as good as last year and Newton is much better than they were last year.
Newton 52 Crockett 0 Newton will play their second and third team players the last quarter which should keep the score down, Crockett may score once on our subs.
Crockett people might not want to know that Newton will get back 25 players next year from this varsity.

Good luck in your district EC. You have a good coach and he will bring EC back to the good old days when EC was a tough out.
Don't judge your team to harshly, Newton is really that good this year with numerous weapons that can score from anywhere. The bad news for opponents is that Newton gets 25 kids back next year. 

2-2 with their 2 losses being a combined 4 points. Could easily be 4-0 right now!
