  1. I said it before and I'll say it again for L-Town, first shered by three, then shared by two, this time shred by none, L-Town all the way baby!!!!!! Lol
  2. Why would we even want one, unless you can figure out to get Golden Triangle residents to watch a professional team play. The high schools will never be able to afford a dome, especially with the amount that BISD pays it's super, no money is left over for that.
  3. Dude, I never went to sleep.....just snuck over to the soccer forum for awhile..........lol Now we go from Foosball to FOOTBALL and I was thinking the same as you, where ARE all those soccer players.
  4. LOL.that still won't make them free, based on history, Coach C won't run up the score. Besides, what you want is the link or boudain in a wrap. Gooooooooood =P
  5. The Broncs are gonna trample them Bay City rollers. The D is what's going to do the job.
  6. Chambers County directly borders Jefferson Co. (to the west) just the same as Hardin Co. borders Jefferson Co. (to the north), and Orange Co. (to the east), but Chambers Co. almost doesn't exist coverage wise through the years. WO-S, LC-M, Lumberton, Silsbee, etc. all have tons of coverage, Anahuac, EC, BH, Liberty, etc., little or none... Even more noticeable is Jasper and Newton. They get more coverage than Chambers and they are two countys away! The only time Chambers county got decent coverage were the few years that East Chambers was so dominant. If you really want coverage by the largest newspaper here you have to be either a Beaumont school or a Mid-County school.
  7. depends on your perspective ;D life death taxes and texas high school football Scooter, let's get the order right, it should be: Life, TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL, taxes and then death. ;D
  8. Yeah, Raid09, thank you from an Army vet. Lil, just come to L-town and walk the fence with us and watch the Train run over those dawgs again. I'll even give you a list of players for your coach to watch....oh wait, by that time they will be in full chew up mode so I'll just give you a program...........lol.

  10. Ok, I read all the posts and now it's my turn to weigh in . Congratulations L-Town on the win, to be honest when I saw the title of the post, I thought the score was the other way around so I was ready to start chewing on some of the crow I figured we'd see....whew, really wasn't hungry tonight. I'm glad two years ago that we got Dayton as our first district game since they are slow starters, we all know what you guys did to the rest of the district, LOL. Secondly, I'm kicking myself, I got busy and forgot what time it was so I missed the scrimmage/super bowl/life or death game.....lol, but I look forward to seeing you guys in what 13 games? That's right, I'm making the prediction now, of course we have a tough road ahead of us, to include our districts O-fer team who beat Texas City last week in another not important scrimmage, but we'll get there. When we do, I expect Dayton to throw your best at us, we'll need it to take that big trophy or ring or piece of bubblegum, not sure as we've never been there before. I also expect to meet LIL, Rollin and maybe even the great sports writer Purple (man I think you do the best write ups =).) and anyone else who wants to complain to me or buy me a soda, whichever. I worried about all the recent post how L-Towns O line wasn't good enough and we aren't as good as we have been the last two years, but after tonight I'm not nearly as worried. Slow start or not, to beat the Broncs even in a scrimmage in their own corral is an achievement if you ask me. Now, someone said something about Lumbertons' fair weather fans. I didn't know we had any of those, I mean think about it, we've been on the ho hum average or less side of the ball for so long that anyone who steadily shows up to games, isn't what I'd call a fair weather fan, L-Town has started a new tradition of winning and I think it will last for awhile but I don't see everyone bailing if we do have a not so good season in the future maybe I'm an optimist, who knows. I only have one more thing to say as of this post..................................... 5 MORE DAYS UNTIL KICKOFF, ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!!
  11. I will guarantee one thing, no matter what year it is. The day L-Town and Dayton get to meet in the playoffs, there will be more posts about that single game than any other in the history of this site.........up that 200 to closer to 500. LOL
  12. Sorry LT, my daughter and her family are in town until saturday, unless they leave early, I can't make it.
  13. LIKE THAT SOUND THE OL' GATOR IN PETER PAN IS FOND OF MAKING AROUND OLD COACH HOOKS.......................TICK TOCK TICK TOCK............8 DAYS AND COUNTING ;D
  14. Razor, let me sort this out for you, there will be a 10-way tie for district champion and playoffs will be determined with a coin toss. ;D
  15. Just a question regarding the facilities, by which I mean the fieldhouse specifically. Yes, it's old, but other than that, what's wrong with it? Put it this way 81, the gum you stuck in the corner of your locker is still there........LOL. IMO, the fieldhouse is the only thing out there that need updated and the Press box needs phone lines according to local members of the press.
  16. LCM's school board is probably like Lumbertons', they always overlooked the local talent for the so called "Winner". Examples, without some names, L-Town has had at least one former pro-quarterback, severa; from winning highschool programs and Coach C's predecessor, who if I'm not mistaken took Blinn or one of the other 2nd tier colleges to the nationals and won. That was the big hook for him, of course in high school you don't get to "recruit" your players like in college, hence the failed Fuller years. The result, they passed over Coach Poole, a Lumberton graduate, who left L-Town and took Hardin into the playoffs his first year as HC and is now (I think) a big part of Nederlands' success. I'm just glad someone either gave up on all the hype of outside coaches or maybe a light bulb went off in their head anddecided to give aa local a shot for once. Coach C is the best thing to ever be allowed to happen to the Lumberton Football team.
  17. Mat, if you find LCM in the Massey Ratings, right now you will find they are rated higher than most of our district. The reason for that, since no games have been played is strength of schedule, they do have a tough schedule picked as usual. Preseason the open with West Orange (definitely tough), then Bridge City (lately a pretty even match) and finally Cleveland (another extremely tough opponent). Their scrimmages Texas City (last night), Silsbee (notice a trend?) and finally Baytown Lee (5a, they aren't messing around).
  18. You can bet, they'll either try to kick i to the moon or squib it, there won't be a middle ground.
  19. Man, Centtral got dis'd on both the statewide AND the reguional rankings. The pollsters must've been smoking something wacky.
  20. Maybe I should broadcast it then. : Aggie, broadcast it, this could be your "scrimmage game" for your broadcast season.
  21. I know this isnt HS football related, but the WOCCISD needed to get exposed for this. Im trying to figure out what they are doing with the money. I dunno Coop, the bad track may be the reason their runners are so fast? :?
  22. LOL, Liltex, I officially in writing give you permission to use my signature quote. Especially when dealing with someone from PNG............ ;D : * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
  23. You sound like you might be a coach. WTB used to coach in L-Town and I'm sure still has a good relationship with several of the coaches, so he does have an inside look. How about that WTB, I defended ya.....LOL : ;D
  24. From what I heard, the Lumberton players this year are so big they had to install a garage door on the field house. Also, I heard that when they ran out onto the field on the first day, they ran out so fast that the back wall imploded from the oxygen being sucked out of the room and the grass has to be replaced from the back of the endzone all the way out to the fifty yard line because the speed burned it up. ;D
