  1. Geez, you're joking right? Anyone who thinks 20-4A "is not as strong as it has been in the past", is someone who has been on the back 9 too long. No Mav, it's gotta be true that district 20-4A is weak, just ask all the WB fans, they are in shock that I picked 3 20-4A teams 1 from 19-4A and 1 from 3A over them, so it must be true........ROFLMAO. They are still surprised that they had to get lucky to beat Central.
  2. Hey guys, noone said you have to agree with my opinion, that's what this board is about. All I know is I watched your game on TV when I got home from the BH/L-Town game and what I saw from beginning to end is that Centrals' play was all around better than the Brooks'. You guys just got lucky on that last dropped ball otherwise the Jags had your number and were just about finished dialing it when time ran out. As far as strength of schedule, sorry but I am just looking at the first 3 games, which is all the preseason we have, I agree you have a tough preseason schedule with your upcoming games, but what about district, Northshore and PAM to a much lesser extent are the other for real tougher teams in your district. Central gets to deal with us, Vidor, PNG, Livingston (our mysterious district member), Nederland and even a stonger LCM. Everyone has mentioned that this district is gonna be a flat out dog fight, which is why there hasn't been a sole district champ the last two years. Westbrook hs the numbers for sure, but you guys aren't what you've been in the last couple of years. Sorry if you don't agree, but hen I see you do some real damage to Katy or Northshore or even nother top rated team I'll look at your team differently. Oh, by the way, I didn't put Babers Hill in the poll, they were already there and I stand by what I said about them, they are the best 0-2 team in Southeast Texas and things will turn around for them we may even have the misfortune of running into them again in post season and I'd bet that will be a barn burner and I'm not sure which of us would come out on top.
  3. L-Town will take this game, but it'll be more like the BH score, we're gonna have to make it into the endzone often and just about everytime we do, the Silsbee Yellow Jackets will take the ball the other way. We'll slow them down but not stop them, while at the same time they won't slow us as much. L-Town 35 - Yellow Jackets 29. Soulja, it's not that L-Town has abandoned the running game, it's that we've added some passing is all, offense will always be probably around 2/3 running. This will be some real good work for our secondary which is getting better and better. One more thing, I've heard them say how fast Silsbee is and even some saying speed kills, like it's going to hurt us. But, the reason speed kills is because usually you end up hitting an immoveABle object.
  4. L-TRAIN CATCHES TGER BY THE TAIL!!! Last seen dragging the animal up and down Village Creek behind a bass boat. CENTRAL TAKE A TRIP TO THE BEACH AND HAS A BALL!!! INDIANS GO FISHING, GET STUNG!!! ANYONE SEEN THE MISSING WEST END BEAR? PIRATE SHIP DISCOVERED TO BE NOTHING MORE THAN A DINGHY!
  5. WOOHOO, I'm still in the top 300, I may make a run for this after all. ;D
  6. Silsbee @ Lumberton Kirbyville @ WOS Anahuac @ Tomball Concordia Beaumont Central @ Galveston Ball West Brook @ Spring Westfield Bridge City @ LCM Buna @ Tarkington Conroe Caney Creek @ Livingston Diboll @ Newton East Chambers @ Hamshire Fannett Hardin @ Shepard Hardin Jefferson @ Vidor Hemphill @ Deweyville Houston Worthing @ Beaumont Ozen Kountze @ Evadale Liberty @ Orangefield Port Arthur Memorial @ Aldine Nimitz Texas City @ PNG Waller @ Nederland Warren @ Woodville What no Dayton?
  7. True that! I believe the QB has the arm and the ability to do what ever is needed. They just have not needed to put it in the air. If someone is able to stop the running game you will see a change of plans! ;D With the tams Vidor has played, Coach Matthews really ought to be airing the ball out at least close to 50% of the time so the qb and receivers can get in sync. That would really open the game up for them.
  8. 1. Central/Lumberton/WOS - Tough to pick between these 3 unless you go with strength of schedule which gives Central the edge. 2. Vidor/Dayton - Two very tough teams, Dayton is being tested each Friday but Vidor we really won't know anything until district starts, weakest preseason in the area competition wise. 3. Westbrook/PNG - Westbrook got lucky Friday and they know, it a chink in your armor has been discovered, PNG squeaked by BH and creamed Crosby but which of those teams is really the best, BH? 4. Barbers Hill - Arguably the absolute best 0-2 team in SE Texas in my opinion, when they get a little more of a handle on penalties they will be kicking some butt, probably the best chance in 19-4A in taking it to the Broncs. 5. Newton - Always a strong team. 6. Jasper - Another tradition of kicking butt, to include taking one from Kirbyville
  9. Looking at the stats from their game against Alvin, they apparently don't have much defense. both teams had over 400 yards in offense, probably couldn't stop each other.
  10. Jackhammer must've been working when he typed his prediction "LCCM" lol, got a bit of a stutter there huh. I said after LCM took it to Texas City, and yes I know it was just a scrimmage, that they are going to be tougher than some expect this year and sneak up on someone. I'm just hoping they don't sneak up on L-Town, let us get our sole district championship would ya guys. we've never gotten the chance to claim that trophy on our own yet......hehe
  11. For Lumberton, I give the Offense and the Defense both A's they are performing solidly and will get even better, I am most impressed by the lack of penalties on us, the boys are playing fast and clean on both sides of the ball. The sore spot for L-Town..........special teams, in particular, the kick off team, is there a grade lower than F- that's not an actual 0. The guys need to contain the ball runners much better than they are, if a team has a chance to score on Lumberton, this is the time to do it.
  12. I agree with your assessment of BH. I just looked at the I-Prep stats for last night and they have to be wrong, they gave Viverette 17 yards rushing and I swear I saw him run more than that in the first quarter.
  13. Any BH fans consider the visitors' side filled tonight? Just curious.... ;D
  14. Well if it paid enough, I'd give it a go, but only if Deweyville promised to play all of their games on Thursday or Saturday. Friday is Raider night.
  15. I know you guys are excited about your future prospect and his passing ability, but after tonights' game, you got a real good QB in Veverette and he threw quite well.
  16. Curious guys, are you running this like the former "Smack Attack", which I still miss, or just a regular sports call in show?
  17. If you guys are referring to the pass interference near the 5 yard line, it was actually a good call as the BH player was already on the Lumberton players back as he was trying to make the catch. The delayed flag was due to the official grabbing for it in his back pocket and not getting a hold of it, he had to reach back in. That being said, the mistakes were very costly for BH which played a hell of a game otherwise and L-Town had all kinds of problems shaking you guys. Your QB #11 is a talented player and I wouldn't be suprised if he led everyone in rushing yards for both team and when he hooks up with that number 81, that kid has some awesome hands and made some really sweet catches with defenders right on him, number 85 did a decent job too although 81 is the obvious fave for your qb. All I got to say is, DAYTON watch out, these Eagles will only get better each week. I forget who was mentioning the number of fans or lack thereof on a game like this for the visitors, I just want to know...did we fill the stands enough for you guys? ;D I look for your passer/receiver tandem to lead district 19-4A in catches and yards or at least be in the top three.
  18. L-Town will take another, but just like BH, they will have a hard time shaking these Tiggers.
  19. I's justa wunderin' why that thar mascot is so tar'd and also, what's his feather got to do with it wuz he a mascot too. If he is running around in his longhandle underwars maybe his maw orta git him some clothes. From what I seen, if he didn't hop around like a fool so much, maybe he wouldn't be so tar'd.
  20. I'll be at the Hill for at least 3 quarters. Fair warning Broncs, with the direction the horn will be facing....NO, the plants in Mont Belvieu aren't blowing up, it's just more L-Train touchdowns. :
  21. If a player is watching a pro game more like he's doing his homework, then it definitely would help. Chances are they are watching purely for entertainment purposes though. Me personally, i prefer the lower level sports, high school, college, semi-pro or minor league. I like to see them work through the mistakes, it makes the game more interesting.
  22. Look, I really hope Lumberton can fill it, but nobody but Dayton has ever filled it during a regular season game (even PNG)...not so sure they did either since half the people in BH-Dayton are related somehow and they probably sat on both sides LOL. It does LOOK very small compared to home side though. The band stands arent to good though. But we'll fix that one of these days. When we played Smiley(?) there in the playoffs, we not only filled the home stands at BH, we also had probably close to half of the visitor side stands also. Don't be suprised if we fill up the visitors side. Hopefully the concession stands will be able to better handle the crowd, it was a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong wait for the playoffs, I think I waited through nearly a complete quarter just to get a drink.
  23. If the people on here were playing on Friday nights it would be State Championship after State Championship and so on, i think its funny, i know my old A _ _ cant go out there and play with them boy's there would have to be a medivac on hand if i did ;D Shoot, as for me, I don't even run to the bathroom anymore!
  24. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Lumberton play HF a 3-A team picked last in their district? If that's true then no wonder your passes were all on target and your defense looked so good. Ya'll may still come over here and stomp a mud hole in us(I don't believe it for a minute) but I think you should play a little better team before you talk about how great your doing. BH fans were all very surprised Friday with the performance from our team, we are much improved (right now) from the team last year. But I don't think any of us are ready to say that we are a good team, the verdict is still out on that one. I just think it's amusing that ya'll are that confident after one game with a sub par team (no offense to HF). Thankfully, this was the second year against HF, you can bet next year will be a different opponent, maybe will get to go spank on WOS..........lol ;D
  25. Good luck Kirby in your baseball pursuits, get that knee going soon. Hopefully one day we'll see you on the 'stros or the Rangers taking on Buckholz and the Bosox.
