well seeing how gonzales is going to be a 3 year starter whereas Doty is just a two year starter if i had to pick one or the other i still pick Doty, just my choice seeing as he won more games as a junior!! But it really doesnt matter who is the better one in our minds it will be decided when we face each other in a few weeks. It was a good game last year, and i think it will be a good game this  year.  Even though Harmon had a career game against the bears i think the passing game was there if we needed it, and as for Bertrand well we shall see how he does also when it is his time to shine, just to let you know noone knew that harmon was a stud his junior year because he was playing fullback in front of Josh Wright who was basically a flop his senior year compared to his junior year. So just maybe all you nonbelievers better take head as to what you will soon be chasing up and down the sidelines.

honestly why would someone from png go vandalize your practice field, honestly i thought that was a cow pasture. Why would anyone practice on a field made over a parking lot, dont make since. to tell you the truth it was probably a ned fan who did that. Evidently it had to do with school colors, awe the pressure of the black and gold, but the last time i heard the football team brings in money for the school district and the band does what?  So why would the football team have to sacrifice for the sake of the band. Just dont see it.

well it is nice to know that lcm is loaded, just so you know png is loaded and double loaded so this should be an explosive game, glad it is at home though lcms stadium on visitors side is entirely too small and the announcer is totally biased kind of amusing though, his famous line i can hear it now " and that is another battling bears first down " lol man that was so annoying lol

who the heck is Barnett, I thought the ex-coach Was Burnett what was i thinking lol. Well i think it is Faircloth now and what was in the past is in the past, this is now and we shall see. Burnett tried to impliment the spread for what i thought was maybe one game, it didnt work so he went back to the ground and pound method that was his bread and butter.  I dont know where he got his game plan for the spread but it wasnt a plan that worked.  We didnt have the staff nor the know how to make it work but we have a darn good coaching staff now that is more than able to get the job done.

yes i hear from little birds that the first string defense has been giving the first string offense fits when going head to head, i think the defense is gonna be very strong in its second year under the new defensive coordinator. As for the offense well i hear they are changing things up a little adding a little more mojo to the punch. Should be interesting to say the least, just a few more weeks till we prove it on the field.

San Antonio on Saturday, but on Friday it is a toss up between central and memorial, which i am leaning on a cental victory, then possibly nederlan vs WOS, see how the stangs look havent watched one of their games in person in a while, probably just flip a coin.

i like what your thinking  but to be honest with you we should have blown out a lot of teams far worse than we did, i sit here and scratch my head wondering why didnt put up 40 pts or better, so saying we beat lcm 42 + is exaggerating just a tad, but it is wishful thinking though i would be happy with just a WIN !

yes you are right incognito, jeff mathews is a class act and i was out of line for saying what i said and for that i do apologize,. I understand that you and your fellow pirate fans back your pirates just as i do my ndns.  I can honestly say that i was in favor of a coaching change here in Port Neches, we got one and i believe it was for the best, having watched a team which over the last 14 years with the exception of the dustin long era where we had a balanced attack,  both throwing and running the ball basically was pounding the ball up the middle and running sweeps and traps. I just hate seeing a team be one dimensional, to me it is alot more  exciting to watch a offense move the ball both passing and running not just run run pass  punt. With that being said i hope the pirate faithful accept my sincere apologies,  i was out of line and for that i am sorry. Looking forward  to  seeing  Vidor on the gridiron  this year good luck to the pirates.

well to be honest with you im glad that vidor runs this offense, we kept them honest and i know they didnt put up 330yards rushing agaist  my ndns. personally i think vidor needs to learn to throw the ball a lot more and maybe they start going to the playoffs, just a thought get a new offense!

i thought it was a good game myself and i thought that lcm played us tough. But different teams match up well with some and not so well with others, you know i can remember going to lcm not so long ago and getting thumped by more than 40 pts. it was a night were we could do no right and they could do no wrong, it was almost hilarious to see just how bad things can go in a hurry. but that is what makes this district so special and why i go to the games.

honestly, kirbyville  over the last two years has had a good run, but face it that is over they have moved back up to 3a and those wins will be alot harder to come by this year, but with that being said it will be interesting to see how they handle their business on the field

you never know with midcounty madness, back in 99-2000 nederland was ranked # 9 in the state came into the Res and got completely thrashed. but i really think in the end with games like this one that it all comes down to turnovers. that is always key in this paticular matchup.
