Nederland doesnt have a chance of stopping pngs offense the question is can png s defense find a heartbeat and stop the bulldogs offense. PNG will put up the points the sad thing is the may give up the points too!

I wouldnt say that png losing was an upset our defense isnt even worth talking about. We will be lucky to win a game the rest of the way out, It is in the hands of our offense.

This is a very sad week in the southeast texas football community, MR Barbay was Newton Football at its best. He will be missed, R.I.P.  COACH.

i will size it up for you in a nutshell, offense can move the ball but it looks like coach is set on running up the middle and only passing when neccessary! I will say the one handed reception by nelson in the back of the endzone was probably the best i have ever seen in my time, defensively we are absolutely horrible, the only team we may beat is nederland and that is questionable. You give up 500 yards  of  offense and you deserve to loose. Hunter Knox is  really the only brightspot on the defense, DJ is a beast but is never in place to be a force. i really think that they need to put gizzi back on defensive side of the ball. he was only targeted about 4 times on offense and i dont think that warrants him being there on offense. AS i see it if we cant outscore them then we will lose, Livingston scored on every possession except the one where we stripped the ball. The only punt of the game was from us. It seemed like everytime we had them in a pinch the qb stepped up and made big runs. Coach needs to win the lotto and hope for someone to show up on defense because it doesnt exist, i cant remember or want to the last time we gave up 500 yards, but on a good note the offense appears to be balanced and we can get to paydirt. Special teams is another area that needs work. I would hate to be at practice next week knowing that you have to face a team that can throw the ball, and to  think i thought we could stop the run oh my god. I will have to change my picks for playoffs appears we wont be there

Ive seen both teams play and watched both of them lose to the same teams with that being said i didnt see either team in their winning performances. so judging what i have seen i give the edge to ozen. Both teams have young qbs and both are athletic and quick. From a throwing aspect i give the edge to ozen, the scrambling ability i also give ozen the edge, but as the best player the edge goes to centrals qb because he should and probably could go both ways, he can surely deliver the wood. Wide receivers edge goes to ozen also.  Defense got to go with central, special teams is a toss up, not really sure. Final analysis, Ozen gets the win 28-10 , sorry soulja just think ozen gets this one against the jags. Good luck to both teams and lets get ready to rumble, first week matchups are all good ones, sorry to say that either lumberton or lcm gets their first loss who will it be? Just about everyone has written off png  because of their defense, well the offense if it gets clicking is more than up to the task of knocking off anyone in this district, and that is the truth, just got to hope the coach gets a little more aggressive and not have a mental lapse late in the game. 3 pts is all that has png from being 3-0 also, but i like the 1- 2 it should have them mad and ready to prove a point , cant wait to see what the pretty in grampe  as ole gramps calls us puts lumberton back into reality when they come face to face. NED and vidor will be a battle of the bad colors matchup, see nederland getting the win.

Not suprised at all i expect  a 48 plus night for the titans and a big goose egg on the other side of the ball, i still say the beaumont  bowl comes back to PA this year.

sounds like katy will put up 70 plus at the rate they are going, i knew that wb was overrated but losing the qb doesnt help. I cant beleive this got ugly this fast, there goes there #6 ranking lol

i got this game being won with a turnover late in the game, both teams tied after 4 quarters 42-42 going into OT and bam a fumble by lcm and lumberton kicking a  fieldgoal to win 45-42 lol  this should be a barn burner!!!

Thanks for the recognition on the schedule brenhamfan, but lets face it  lol our secondary with the exception of Hunter Knox  is  subpar at best, I think our district is wide open as of now and we are all on a even field right about now seeing as we all have the same record in district. As far as our preseason schedule i wouldnt say that our schedule was all that, we should have won all three of our games but let two of them slip right out of our grasps. I hope with this extra week we have time to  heal and get mentally as well as physically ready to go. It is crunch time and now it is time to step it up a notch and kick it up another gear!!!

is the brook katy game friday or saturday night. I was gonna go watch memorial but it brook is playing friday then i guess i will go watch katy spank that butt! After that i am gonna head up to the deer lease. Hey anyone got a sure fire way to lure a hog to your feeder. I  have been playing cat and mouse with this boheameth of a pig and it is time to put some lead in him, i have tried sitting there with a q beam but he doesnt want to cooperate, only other thing i know to do is put the dogs on him? any suggestions? My deer would apprecieate it.

WELL  dont know now what to think lol. I know this district  is wide open and ripe for the taking lol. I like pngs chances although we have serious issues that need to be addressed on both sides of the ball as well as special teams. Lumberton and Lcm both look good right now. Ozen has speed speed speed. Central is getting back into the winning mix. Livingston i have no idea just have to wait and see. Vidor dont really know look very suspect to be the cellar dwellars  this year but who knows it is only the first game of district  so it is early. Nederland  i think will be alright once forney comes back as qb if that happens, i guess we will just have to wait and see

i agree with shovelhead dre dunbar is sorely missed right about now, but i also see problems in special teams, along with the problems in the secondary, int s are more plentiful right now, we need to address all these problems now and get ready to roll in district, it all counts now  no excuses only results!!!! i I WANT TO SEE SOME  WINS  LOL

PNG in a nailbiter turnovers are the story of the night. Dont really know much about the stingarees but im sure we will pull it out. Not quite sure if we are that solid against the run, still worried about the pass though, hopefully we have gotten better with another week of practice.

offense looked good defense was a little better they did give up one deep ball for the td, but this was an improvement from last week, i believe we had two ints, one by hunter knox the other by a wide open  dJ  who needs to see some offensive time with his abilities and aggressive mentality, couldnt believe he headbutted a crosbly player  with out a helmet, the kid is a beast lol.  the 3-4 defense gave up some real estate but kept the points to a minimal, great job great game plan way to execute, have to admit doty and bertrand look really good and jalalai showed some yac  taking it in to the endzone. Wasnt too sure about Doty running a naked bootleg for the score but hey he scored ;D

and what is wrong with running up the score. This is football play to win not drive 55. Put the foot the pedal to the medal and let the good times roll!! got to go with kirbyville

i was impressed with ozens offensive line they were pretty massive. QB very mobile i see them giving district a fit, they never gave up and battled to the end. Will say this The refs had no clue what was going on . Made several bad calls on turnovers that ended up not being turnovers . What ever lol . Great game well played no cheap shots and great weather to watch football. I liked the stadium it was very nice.

As for you sharkstooth i am no coach and i only call it like i see it, im not bashing the coaches and im not bashing doty, i voiced my opinion on what i thought was the difference in the game, get over your defense mechanism in your brain this is a site to voice your OPINION im not pointing out what you are any one else is commenting on in your posts, i see a lot of what i would have done by others and noone seems to criticize them so get over it. Yes i am a true indian fan i live less than a mile from the school and this is where my daughter will graduate when she is in school, i love the ndns but like everyone else on here i have my own opinion on what goes on and whether you like it or not i will say what i want!!! if you dont like it tough @#$%!!! get over it.

i heard we have a sophomore kicker that has range from 50 + dont know his name though they are saying he is a soccer player that they picked up and a good one at that . Can anyone put any truth to that or what. Tappedout dont get your panties ruffled so easily  am just stating my opinions it doesnt mean doodley squat, but im sorry if it hurts your feelings that i criticize what i thought was contributing factors as to why we lost. that is it. Im sorry if i dont have that metality that we are PNG we are invincible, dont believe that for a minute, because as we all know we got a reality check last week by a team that we SHOULD have beat. Fairclothe is a great coach and his arrival was a blessing. And yes we did get a two point conversion, yee haw like i said before i think they are doing this just to let other teams know hey we can run this be prepared for it. But i still dont like it ! If they continue to do this and this is my opinion why not use the jv qb from last year and let him pound it in from what i remember from last year he was a strong runner? But if i were to go to a booster club meeting i would ask him why doesnt he run the score up when we are putting it on someone, BUt i know the answer to that is because he promises to play everyone. I remember a game where we played WOS in WOS it was Dustin longs senior year i believe we took the opening drive and went all the way down to the 1 yard line and got stuffed all 4 times, well to make a long story short we lost 3-0 on a 48 yard field goal that was kicked with about a min on the clock. So yes it is easy to question the call on fourth down and inches, that is my thinking should have kicked the ball , easier being said after the outcome on both occassions. And yes i do have faith in the coaching staff, but what it comes down to is that these are kids  and it doesnt matter what biaplayer  thinks now does it??  ;)

Well said ndn79. It was an exciting game and fun to watch except when we made those key mistakes that hurt us. But what it boils down to is we still have two weeks to improve and both games are with quality opponents. this will benefit us and get us prepared for district and then on into the playoffs.
