thanks for the info cougtalk, im not really worried about the running game for crosby it is the pass that i will direct my attentions at lol. hopefully our coaches tried to solve our problem in the secondary i dont know . I know we will move the ball on offense, just  hope doty doesnt make any mental mistakes like he did last week right before half, i think that turnover and score on the next play was the nail in our coffin. We had our chances and realisticly  should have won. We lost to a good team not a great team, miscues and one bad decision by coaching staff on fourth down and we win  but hey it is the first game of the season so learn from our mistakes and improve to get better, have a safe trip down and lets hope for a good game with noone getting hurt!!

well i will put my two cents in on this because i call it like i see it.  This game was all about momentum. And in all games turnovers cost us the game along with a bad fourth down decision. like it or not we should have won the game but we didnt. I honestly believe we should have kicked the fieldgoal. but with that being said say we kick the fieldgoal, that still gave gp over a minute and a few ticks left on the clock. i honestly can t say that our defense would have been able to hold the gp team from scoring again, the defense was a little better in the second half but i still say the secondary better step it up and  get  it together, they looked absolutely pathetic. But thankfully it is preseason and hopefully we can find someone who can defend the pass whether it is by holding tackling fouling what ever, my thinking is better to give up ten yards than give up the score over and over and over again. it was a great game even though we lost but it was an eye  opener  and should bring these kids back down to earth. Time to plan for Crosby and see if this doesnt light a fire under their butts, and i will close with this what is up with the swinging gate, surely they dont plan on using this garbage every week, i just absolutely hate the swinging gate lol just my opinion, thinking he is just showing everyone that it is just something else to have to try to stop , i dont know???????????

geeszzzz already making excuses before you even get whipped lol. Brook doesnt have no idea what is coming to them in week 8. Barring no injuries to either team i think memorial is gonna make a statement. Lol Like you said they are due for a win so keep that in mind. you say you arent thinking about them till the week you play them, come that week i see some headaches in your future lol! Big D i plan on going to the game saturday and check out the destruction of ozen. i have a feeling we are gonna see another shutout, ouch did i say that , yes i did lol. i dont know if soulja is coming i am gonna call him and find out what his plans are. Man Titan burnt my phone up while we were in san antonio.lol i was trying to watch the game and text back and fourth with him i was worn out by half time lol

brenhamfan thanks for coming to san antonio and meeting up with me, you are obviously a true football fan and if i am not mistaken i never made one comment about blue bell ice cream lol ;D with that being said you were right i didnt get my 30 pts lol but i promise you this i will get them this week. If you aint doing anything saturday night why dont you make a trip down here to beaumont and we can go watch memorial destroy ozen. I think you will be happy seeing a blowout with one team leaving happy that being memorial, and ozen leaving with a frown because they didnt get on the scoreboard, Memorial is loaded this year and should make some noise in  5a. TO  be honest with you raideroldtimer i dont think that that would have helped, from what i saw this was the worst group of defensive backs i have seen in a long long time, they couldnt cover their man  to save their lives. there were some changes at half time and some new #s out there but it was too late the turnover just before half on the int and a td on the next play was unacceptable. that was the difference in the game, doty should have never released that ball. but hopefully they will have some answers on defense and my guess is gizzi should get some reps on defense i think he can cover better there than what we have now and he has expierence from last year. I really dont have the answers right now but i hope someone does and makes the changes quick friday will be upon us before we know it.

im predicting i think png will work harder in practice this week on defense because we sure didnt have any in san antonio!!! PNG should be ok against crosby but i think we have to outscore them on offense and hope for some turnovers to go our way. PNG-35 CROSBY 31

sgt rey is in for a rude awakening, good post bigd , i was there and the goat is right, it was an impressive beatdown from start to finish. The defense is big fast and aggressive, what i liked most about the defense is the fact that they swarmed to the ball and the brought the whole saw mill, those boys mean business and they arent hesitating to prove it. btw the field looked good also. AS fpr central i expect them to make a rebound but was kinda suprised at their numbers seems like they were a little shorthanded. I am gonna say that the # 9 ranked team in 5a will not want no part of pam when they meet up they will be calling 411 wanting to know if anyone got the # of the train that derailed them lol, good luck to both teams and good seeing you big d , soulja , titan and brenhamfan it is always a pleasure to watch a game with some great gurus as yourselves. time for week one!!!!

you will find out in due time # 4 just finds a way to get open and catch the ball. AS for ole sgtrey you better get ready for Memorial they are gonna give west brook all they can handle. their defense is big quick aggressive and brings the wood every down. i was very impressed with their defense offense moved the ball fairly easily also, look for the titans to make a lot of noise this year. like i said im no coach but on fourth down i would have kicked the fieldgoal but i think they were under the impression that they thought they could get the first down and try to run out some more of the clock before attempting to make the kick. im sure they didnt want to give gp any more time to move the ball. i will say this the three year starter at qb fishbeck i think his name is put the ball on the money and hit the wideouts everytime he went deep. They played a hell of a game they were a well disciplined team, the last pic that doty threw was the nail in the coffin. he needs to learn not to throw off his back foot and try to force things. but other than that the receivers need to hang on the ball. if Gizzi can stay in bounds when he makes the catch we should have three very capable receivers that can make some noise. Besides our defense getting a f on defending the pass our special teams wasnt all that impressive either, new week time to start fresh and get ourselves back together. No time to worry about what woulda coulda that was a reality check time to get  back to the basics.

I dont know what the kickers range is but judging what i saw the kicker is a nonfactor, if we dont find a secondary that can at least hold onto a receiver it is gonna be a long season for my ndns lol what i saw was absolutely pathetic. As for 10-0 well i dont care and think we all know they got the bighead, now that reality has bitten them in the --- well i bet practice wont be fun this  coming week. AS for plugging up the hole and covering jalai well one better think about nelson and gizzi they did show some sparks of being able to get open and find the right spot. It is the first week and we got a loss. no big deal it doesnt matter till district starts so unil then we have time to fill in the blanks and try to salvage our defense. Still dont understand why we didnt attempt to kick the fieldgoal but i know on fourth and one i think i run the sweep instead of the bull rush up the middle when there was 10 in the box. but no excuses a loss is a loss and we need to learn from it and go on about our business. But on a good note the offense in the first half did move the ball well, alot of dropped passes no excuses for that especially when you are 10 yards behind the secondary and the ball hits you right in the hand  and you coulda walked into the enzone and wrote a book. we need to do some soul searching but i must say even though we lost it still was a very interesting game to watch kudos to gp played one heck of a game. oh and btw i was at the memorial central game man that defense is for real great job memorial even though you have some horrible fans that are rude and obnoxious. It is amazing at some of the crap you catch when you wear a ball cap of your team that you support and some a$$%^&* runs his mouth because you are a visiting fan and he wants to make a scene, go figure. Centrals fans were a class act although they did give me some funny looks. lol they will get over it , no offense soulja  ;D

well went to the pep rally tonite he was on crutches but he was not in cast so i dont think it was broke.  that is a good thing hopefully he will be ready to go come game time saturday. may be too early surely dont want him out for the start of district.

Just got a phone call a while ago telling me that DJ Shexnider may have broken his ankle yesterday due to having to practice on the band field because of a gas leak/ Dont know if there is any truth to the matter i know he hurt his ankle just dont know how bad. Anyone else heard anything about this? if so this could be devestating to the tribes defense, he is the anchor and would surely be missed.

im sure they base it on the fact that it was a FLUKE !!!!Dayton is gonna stomp a mudhole in Cosbys Butt. it is gonna be ugly, everyone has a bad game every now and then but the stars arent lined up in crosbys favor this year, i see dayton blowing out crosby 42-10 and that is just being nice. And yes i am an indian fan but i give credit where credit is due and crosby isnt getting any attention this year and neither is barbers hill. yes we only beat you by a point last year in the first game of the season under a new coach and new offense and defense. but the second game wasnt even close and crosby didnt even show up .  Im not gonna dwell on last year as i said this is a new year so it is back to the basics. good luck to crosby though they are gonna need all the help they can get because the broncos are gonna roll dont see them losing a district game this year.

lets get something straight last years win was a fluke of nature and we all know it, there is no way dayton loses to crosby and as far as crosby dominating 19-4a and 20-4a  well that is far from the truth lol. You giving them too much credit for beating ned who almost didnt make the playoffs, and did i mention that we thumped them pretty hard by the tune of 37-7. But im not gonna dwell on last year, this is this year and i am ready to see how much improved the crosby squad is, whether or not they or worth the hype especially coming from a barbers hill fan lol go figure.

class act all the way. i am looking forward to the friday night game between memorial and the jags, nothing like watching a good game to get me ready for the trip to san antonio the next morning. It doesnt matter that we are representing our area it could be anyone of the teams just as long as we get a win and let them know why this area is feared by the other regions in the state lol. i just hope the ndns represent well and foremost noone gets hurt. i bleed purple baby but im not scared to watch other teams in the area go at it either, even though they are rivals of now or years past, week 0 is upon us and i dont think i will be getting much sleep  lol

lets face it guys vidor is no dayton, shouldnt even be brought up in the same sentence. lol Maybe WOS looked this good because Vidor may not have it this year. how anyone could say that we were ranked anywheres in the nation defensively is beyond me lol. You people put too much stock into rankings especially from DC. I  like not being ranked at all myself, but as far as rankings go i think dayton will be ranked right up there with the best of them. I am ready to get the show started

wow lol i guess silsbee let lcm know that they prefer tackle in silsbee rather than playing touch football during the summer lol. I guess lcm found out that it is alot different when it is 11 on 11 with full contact action, well good thing is wos rolled vidor so maybe it will be a 3 way tie behind ozen for that final playoff spot. i figured lcm would have at least put some points up offensively goes to show what i know.
