I never saw a 9th or JV game last year for those two schools. I did see a couple of varsity games for each. The rosters I received had Central varsity with about 46 players and Ozen around 38.
This won't make you feel good. Livingston freshmen stomped both schools. It could be ugly.

Easy fellas. I ate my crow last night. It was at Twin Peaks and washed down with beer but it was crow nonetheless, I swear!
All seriousness good show. The question is can you beat LCM on Friday. If you don't do that we won't remember how close you played Silsbee.

With all due respect, I don't think it would've been embarrassing this year. Orangefield has a Sr laden team that is much better than usual, and I'm not sure WOS is as good as some of their past teams. WOS only beat Evadale by 3 points, and Evadale's whole team, except for one Sub, had just come off the football field six days prior to the game. Actually, I thought Orangefield would win, and had it not been for some alleged dubious foul calls, by a poster who's basketball knowledge I'd match against anyone's on the Forum, Orangefield would have probably won.
I don't think much of WOS ball these days and from what I remember of Orangefield when. I lived out here it wasn't good.
Yes I believe Orangefield should have won. Good for their improvement but that just shows how far the Mustangs have fallen. For the poster to insinuate WOS would give Silsbee a better game than LCM is ludicrous.

Makes you appreciate how tough Silsbee and LCM had it last year.

I think I read Orangefield was actually beating them and they came back and won the game.
That would have been embarrassing. I saw that too!

Don’t sell Scarborough, or north forest short...both are athletic , both have solid back courts and both have a solid big man....north forest has beaten atascocita, Scarborough has beaten ozen ...neither or slouches
I can buy that.

I don't think they see Yates until Huntsville. I don't think HJ or Huffman Hargrave can get closer than 20. Diboll and Shepherd have played good ball but they're not in Silsbee class. And if LCM wasn't playing at home it might have been a bigger deficit. So who's gonna challenge Silsbee. One seeds don't meet until the game before the regional tournament if its all chalk.

Bite your tongue boy, if LCM would have acted right to begin with we wouldn't have a problem.
Silsbee wasn't the cleanest team last year. They seem to be a better team this year. I'm ad they won state and I'm pulling for them this year.
For the record I'm nobody's boy. I wouldn't use that term in 2018 to refer to grown men, especially toward African American men. I'm sure its tongue and cheek. But I wouldn't use it for future reference. Those could be considered fighting words.

I don't believe in moral victories but that's a good effort by LCM. That will probably be the closest anyone gets to Silsbee until the region 3 tournament in Huntsville.

87-23 Final. Port Arthur Memorial Titans. That's is a great team I hope they go far this year.

Sigh..., The Grove... which is being named after Pauline Hargrove. I know some folks that wanted named after Mr. Mota. I was kinda let down by the new gym honestly.
Ok. That makes sense why its called the Grove. Y'all hang in over there! I think you're playing the future two time state champs tonight. Just don't let em do us like Hamshire Fannett.
-
54-15 Port Arthur at the half.
The Titans have eased up on their press. Most of the half was spent in PA side of the court.

The man was a legend. Had him for PE freshman year at Lamar. He was a person that we looked up to on campus.
He was a heck of an athlete at Livingston Dunbar when Livingston was actually winning state championships and is in the school's hall of fame.
He's gonna be missed but not forgotten.
