I don't think the "Five Guys Burger" founder is going to coach in Livingston. He may have been the last great straight on kicker, but Mark does not have anything to do with Livingston anymore. If he did, you would think he would make a donation to help them build a NEW STADIUM, because that place is garbage!!
It's just Lions Stadium. Moseley has his jersey retired that's it. As far as the stadium, yeah the visitor's side sucks but on the home side we have nice new restrooms and concession stands. Visitor's shouldn't be made to feel comfortable anyway. It's part of home field advantage.
If the choice is a new 20-30 million dollar stadium or nice schools, give me the nice schools any day. I only go the stadium 4-5 times a year so I don't think it'll hurt to sit through one game every other year. Meanwhile my kids have to be in school 180 days. And the majority of kids don't play football.
I hate the bashing but truth be told Livingston's facilities are better than it's former and future district mates hands down outside of football.

This would be a smart move for him. He's a good coach and would do great there. Leave while your on top. Memorial will be in a rebuilding phase and will struggle. I look forward to seeing Nederland giving them a couple L's next season.
Port Arthur's jv would have made the playoffs and beat the brakes off Nederland. They would have given Ozen and Central a decent game. Nederland ain't beating Memorial next season.

That's a lot. I don't think every team should be guaranteed a player on one of the teams. I'd rather it be like all NBA five picks for each team and a few superlatives. But the superlatives have to be on one of the teams.
That said congrats to everyone that earned a nod.

Can someone explain why there's no outcry about the dude pretending to be president said he would take away guns without due process? Maybe you need to vote him out of office in 2020. So you can keep your guns.

SFA leading scorer was out but it wouldn't have made any difference tonight. Lamar was hitting on all cylinders. Dominated the boards and paint. Bosha (spelling) was on from downtown. Broadcaster said he was from Nome. I thought he was from HJ? Lol
Yes Nome residents are zoned to HJ. I enjoyed every minute of that beat down. The tears in the crowd nourished me.
That said. SFA is the best chance to get a good tournament seed.

Vidor is a much improved team this year. No matter how this shakes out the Pirates should be proud. They have a good foundation to add on to next season.

Senior Night on Lake Livingston...

I know memorial is very good. What happened?
Maybe I need to skip next Tuesday finale if the Titans are pounding the bulldogs into the ground.
-
That's a shame. I would have thought the decision would bring out people for nostalgia sake. I wish both schools the best and hope they get the support they need next season.

That's a damn good reason. Son played Freshmen and decided to watch Ozen Varsity for the last time. They were so hot they broke the scoreboard.
In the two years I've followed this district I ain't seen a big crowd at Ozen. I'm sure for Central West Brook and Port Arthur the place is packed. Its a pretty good team so I'm confused. When I left town all those years ago, they were always a good draw

The schools in the golden triangle are falling apart. Build new schools.
Our gym is top notch. The softball and baseball complex is great. And they're building a new track and soccer stadium.
With one of the largest rv clubs in the country located in town the old folks will never vote for a new football stadium. So you go around and piecemeal things together.
Honestly none of kids are going pro so I'd rather they have a great school to attend.
