  1. Saw this reported on Channel 2 last night. What is this kid doing? The season is already going, and colleges are taking notes. Had he apologized, slow played this a bit, he may have gotten a chance at the next level. Now, I'm not sure anyone other than JUCO or D3 will want to touch him. Quannel X?? Lawd.
  2. I don't know, I just think they can do better. Assistant at Hull Daisetta, assistant somewhere in Texas City, HC in New Mexico I believe, then 2-4 in one season at Legacy. If Lumberton is forced to settle for that, they're in bad shape. No shot at Stevens, just an observation.
  3. Just thought I'd dig this up. This hire is looking pretty good these days.
  4. Seven Armstrong, Norris Taff. Seven is really the one I was impressed with. His record at Corrigan Camden was good and I believe he was integral in Livingstons uptick.
  5. Has anyone taken a look at the Livingston coaching staff? Many very good past head coaches on that roster. They will be ready to play. I think it will be a tight game and I give CH the edge because of Rio. But, I am impressed by what Livingston has done this year.
  6. This is what I saw floating around online.
  7. Maybe so, just saw it floating around on one of those TXHSFB facebook pages. Interesting way to end the game for sure.
  8. That's what I am being told also. I looked at some film on hudl and he looks pretty good. Maybe an opportunity to move Thomas back to receiver and improve a bit offensively. I'll be interested to see how Mac handles it.
  9. And some of you asked why Barrier would leave CC to take the Hardin job. Welp....
  10. Great win for Finney, but the field goal was questionable. It was a high kick, over the uprights, slow motion video seems to indicate it was wide right and was called good. Great game either way, but the win was not without controversy.
  11. Any truth to the rumor that Summer Creek's starting QB's family moved to Huffman and the kid transferred in to Huffman? I am hearing he will be eligible to play this week.
  12. That boy is a stud. Could eventually be the best player to ever come through Hardin (although that’s not saying a ton)......if they will just let Barrier build a program around him.
  13. This. It's called building a program. Hardin will always be Hardin because of this mentality. You have to give someone a chance to create change before you begin attempting to railroad them.
  14. Could've predicted it would go this way.
  15. The best player Barrier has in his program is his son.....and he's on the 7th grade team.
  16. He was literally hired at the absolute last minute, in the middle of COVID, and given a severely sub par roster with which to work. Of course you have to give him more time. I am still surprised he was able to pull a staff together. He needs at least enough to time to filter a few groups through an offseason program to see what might be able to be built there. Those already pointing fingers clearly have no idea what goes into building a somewhat successful program. I'd say the issues in Hardin have less to do with the coaches, and more to do with the gene pool.
  17. So wait, two posts with references to Larry Haynes? Interesting. The best part is, it's not like Larry Haynes would be doing any better with this group of kids. They weren't exactly setting the world on fire last year, or any year Haynes was in Hardin. This is why Hardin will never have any success. Coaches don't get a chance to build something there. A town who has never won anything, expecting to win immediately......unless your name is Larry Haynes. Haynes can lose all he wants.....somehow, he's got most of town convinced he's a genius.
  18. My absolute favorite thing on this board is when the pee wee coaches chime in after a loss and criticize the head man on the varsity team. As if Matthews is ruining all of talent he developed by not throwing the ball. lol.
  19. Lol. Like WH football was ever anything to brag about??
  20. Sounds like the new coach was making some changes.
