Parents never pushing their kids to take personal responsibility for their choices or their role in bad situations. This seems like a good prediction. LCM is on the come up, but Huffman is already there.

Can Barrier start his 8th grade son at QB for Hardin Varsity? That kid is the best player in that program and may end up being the best player Hardin has ever seen if they can keep Barrier at Hardin. Good luck with that though. I feel some other power programs in the state may be offering Ned OC positions in the next year or so.

Scat, clearly you are part of the problem in Tarkington. I do not believe for one second that Bass M-F'd kids at halftime. He was always going to be a short timer in Tarkington and the only way that would've changed was if the community rallied around the program and things began to change. Clearly that didn't happen and was never going to happen. I am sure you will enjoy him being the head coach of successful 5A and 6A programs into the future while Tarkington continues to be what they've always been.

Yes, a variety player should have their name on their jersey, I agree. As far as a High School Varsity player, not so much. Kids used to earn that privilege in college, but now they get it as far down as pee wee league. There's literally nothing in the world left for kids to have to earn which is at the root of the degradation of our society.

At this point, I’d say it’s a safe bet that Hd ducked Hardin. Coach Birdwell has already lost a game and was being second guessed at every turn, so a loss to Hardin at Hardins HC wouldn’t have bode well for him moving forward. Easy decision when covid was around creating a soft off ramp

It is interesting that HD is still in school and this game is canceled due to COVID. Maybe it was cancelled due to QB, RB and others being hurt, and a few COVID positives causing the team to not have enough players to play. At least, that is what I am hoping. It was lining up to look like a Hardin win, so I hope HD wasn't ducking that potential. Especially on Hardin's homecoming.

This was going on long before Biden took office. The program began a downward spiral somewhere around 2005 ish.

Maybe the first time in history that Hardin is heavily favored over HD on this board. Sad times.

You're right warden. I shouldn't have popped the top on ol Walt, but that HF thing really rubbed me the wrong way. Kinnebrew is a good coach and to be discredited as strictly a "football guy" who was hired because he had connections, by another finalist for the job was bush league. Yates should have been happy to even be considered based on what I know about his past in txhsbb. Either way, I'm off of it.
