Hopefully Kountze can survive the officiating in Hardin. Strange things happen in that gym. Kountze rolls by as much as they want in this game and probably for the rest of district barring any injuries.

I am not complaining I am just trying to learn all the rules. At our game in hardin we had a shooter get fouled on a made basket and the ref called an intentional foul. But, the ref only gave us one free throw instead of the one for the made basket and two others for the intentional foul. The ref then gave us the ball at mid court only to change his mind to give the ball under our basket. So i am just trying to clarify with the oldref what the correct calls should be.

Regarding the play where only 4 players were on the court, the 5th was still at the watercooler. This was following a time out and he was one of the five playing before the clock stoppage.

without a doubt the loss of Ricossa played a role in the closeness of the game. Not having the big man,not only under the basket but while moving the ball down court made a change in the game. Congrats to the Bucs though for playing a solid defensive game. I feel the Bucs will continue to improve as the season progress's and will be a strong contender in district. For all those naysayers, just remember EC has had only 5 practices since the whole team was playing footbal til after Thanksgiving.

All of the basketball players were playing Football. Basketball practice begins monday with the first game being tuesday against Bridge City.

there was a real good article in yesterdays Austin newspaper regarding J. Brown. Tells the whole story and how the future is bright for J Brown.

They are finishing up painting the floor. Then just have to put a sealer ...I think. Should be ready in a couple of weeks. Looks really really good. Definately cooler than the old gym. Will work on getting pics to post.

Congrats to Coach V and the Boys!!!!!! It was a lot of fun watching Coach V body surf in the mud in recognition of the defense' shut out performance.

What is the status for this weeks game against EC? Last time we had big rains in the area Kountze moved their home game to Hardin.
