  1. LOL! Soulja, this closely resembles your prediction for the PN-G/Vidor game This is a gut feeling. I'm thinking that with Beard running arount, he may neutralize Harmon. The only X factor would be if PN-G can move the ball consistantly through the air. I think they will. Lumberton will make some plays on the PN-G secondary, but will not make enough. This is a good assessment. Lumberton's ability to throw will allow them to play us better than Livingston and Vidor.
  2. Well, Smitty? The problem for Vidor in that game was defense not fumbles. Vidors defense really could not stop us. Their offense played well but it came down to our defense outplayed theirs. Thay have a good team and will be in the playoffs, I am very confident of that.
  3. Good CLASSY post. Vidor's very strong running game took them this far and will take them further I do believe. No need to panic or change what they are doing. Two years ago with Hemmings we won district by running. We lined up and said stop us if you can, and it worked. You have to do what you do best, Vidor will be fine. Good luck, I beleive Vidor will be in the playoffs.
  4. Who's whining now ? Find something to cling to like Faircloth leaving, it may make you feel better. When we hired Faircloth there were a lot on here saying( a lot of Lumberton posters also) coaching wasn't the problem, we just didn't have any talent. Then all season we haven't played anyone, but we kept putting up every week. Have we played anyone yet? Maybe, maybe not.
  5. Livingston and Vidor were both very one dimensional. Lumberton should put up a better game than both of them because they can throw and run.
  6. Our kicker is good but he has missed this year. Until 4 th down i have to go with harmon.
  7. Do you even know how the pointspread tiebreaker works? It works with 18 points being the max used. Any coach not trying to score with less than an 18 point lead is a fool. Beyond that point i could not condone it. There is still three weeks left , anything can happen.
  8. Hey rustedclass before all the classless name calling , consider the possibility of the threeway tiebreaker. It would be sickening to miss out because you kneeled when you could have scored easily. In this tight district any coach who is not 18 points up should be trying to score.
  9. Don't classify all as "Typical PNG fans",we all have our obnoxious and unrealistic. The truth is this game will be a war. It will not be easy for either side. This is one that you will not want to miss. Looking forward to a great game.
  10. IMO Central is sitting in the best position as of now. It appears Central, PNG, Vidor, and Lumberton are the top four and Central has already beat Vidor and Lumberton. PNG still has to play all of the other three. Central and PNG control their own destiny. Vidor and Lumberton(Lumberton a little more) will need some help to get there, but that is still very possible. There is still plenty of football left. Also, I can't see a team with more than three losses making the playoffs.
  11. It should end up just like Vidor's games against Lumberton and Central. Too close to call, could go either way.Looking forward to a good game and hopefully when the final whistle blows we will be ahead.
  12. Its going to be interesting, I am not willing to put money on it yet.

  14. The flu is a much bigger concern at PNG than grades.
  15. I would too, PNG has played all of its games on turf. They have yet to play in the mud. Advantage Livingston, IMO. From what i have heard, the Indians have been practicing on the old practice field instead of the turf, and the coaches have watered the field. That is smart considering it has been raining... ??? I live in Port Neches and have been cutting my grass with no problems. It hadn't rained enough to create a problem there. That old practice field drains real well also. Well I am certain that if it's grass in Livingston, thier coaches will be flooding the visitor sidelines tomorrow for a lil extra help from DEM' SKEETERS According to one of the Livingston posters there is more dirt on the field than grass. They were having problems and even hired professional help.

  19. We try to keep a balanced offense, also notice Caleb Harmon is second behind Mr. Jackson in addition to what the PNG QB has thrown for.
  20. poor guy. still hurting over the l-train's loss last night? livingstons got this one no problem png had trouble against barbers hill just wait livingston has this one no problem livingston hung with LUMBERTON!!!!!!!!! Lumberton only beat Barbers Hill by 6. BH played them a good game also, I wouldn't knock em. BH played us better than anyone else has this season. The only team we have had trouble with is ourselves. If we can clean up all the penalties we will be tough to beat.

  22. with a team like this, why envy anyone. there's not a team in 20 4A that has any reason to envy another. And by the way, The officials took quite a few big plays from us that would have made it alot uglier for the Bears. But my saying that is not to take anything from the bears, they are a respectable team. But I think we did what we had to beat a very good team. Our D dominated at the end. That final goal line stand showed me something, two weeks in a row. Our Offense scored two plays later from our own 4 or 5 yd line ;D two plays 95 yds to put the game away. Yea that's something to envy someone else about, huh? I'm not gonna worry about the polls. Its been in our favor not to be number one. keep everyone else at the top ;D Just keep winning and stay #1 Polls don't mean anything, I think its best to fly under the radar. It's nice to get the recognition but all that matters is how you finish. We will definitely have to fix some very correctable mistakes we are making in order to stay on top. We have been able to overcome the penalties and remain unbeaten but the tougher part of our schedule is coming. I think if we can cut back on the penalties we have a good chance and can play with anybody, but if we continue the sloppy mistakes it will be tough.
  23. The closest top to bottom I ever recall seeing.
  24. The link I gave in the post earlier shows scores from each individual games from the 1920's to 2007. Somebody did an awesome job and some major research.
