Ouch, bad memories!

I've always liked Mathews, class act. Except for the week against us I am pulling for Vidor. Good luck guys!

if, if ,if ! If we had not had all the penalties nevermind, we're 5-0 but still haven't played anybody. Honestly, go back and look I knew it would be a good game as usual.

I too believe Faircloth will work out the false starts, holding etc.... What I do like, is we will do what it takes.The balanced offense will be tough to stop if we can just quit stopping ourselves. Line up to stop Harmon and the passing game is there. Play for the pass and Harmon can hurt you. We'll be fine.

I think the Jags will be tough for anyone to beat, they are good.

Should be a good game. We will have to clean up the sloppy penalties.

Should be a good one, Nederland's defense found away to stop us where as I don't feel LCM really ever did. We could have and should ran Harmon at LCM all night, they couldn't stop him. But LCM's offense looked better than Nederlands. Should make for a good game.

If we can find away to stop killing ourselves with stupid penalties on good drives we will be fine. I'm waiting to see two particular plays that were used in the first couple games that worked everytime, and haven't been used since the second game.

We have got penalized bad every game. And yes legitimate penalties, we are making too many mistakes. I think Lovelady matched up better against us than Cardenas would have. He played one heck of a game and in the end, going both ways wore him down. If we can stop shooting ourselves in the foot we will be fine. We will not get away with killing drives with penalties against some of the better teams. What we are doing, is finding ways to win. 5 and 0, i'll take it.

Thanks for the info. How about some real honest, not bias, score predictions from all. I never like to try and predict when these two get together, honestly.

That was a big moment, but I didn't see it as an upset. It was a lot like this season only, we were injury bitten and on our third QB. In 1984 I didn't see us having much of a chance that year.

I don't know that it was considered an upset by everyone but in 1998 all the papers and most people didn't believe we could win but won 28 - 7. This was Dustin Long's junior season and he had been very successful passing all year to the Coburn twins. Ned pretty much came in to stop Long and the Coburn's, we ran most of the night and Bo Wortham had one of his better games of his career. Pretty much saw a replay of the same situation next year with Wortham again being the deciding factor. Those are the only two years of Neumann vs. Burnett that I felt Burnett outcoached him.

I agree 100% that the game can't be played on paper. If it was played on paper we wouldn't be 4 - 0 right now. The situation this year reminds me a lot of 1984, only the injury shoe is on the other foot. In 1984 we were down to our third QB(brought up from JV). We had many injuries(lost 7 starters against French, the eventual state champion). Even despite a 19 year PNG winning streak, Nederland was favored heavily and won 13 - 7 in a war. You can go back and look at scores and there are a few, but not a bunch of blowouts.This will be a good game just like so many of the others, good luck to all on what will hopefully be an injury free night.

Is that like a just in case we lose excuse? :-* We had to order a extra bench for the wounded. We have EMT'S on speed dial. One EMT is now related to us somehow? You gotta love it. One good thing will come out of this game, we will get to play at a first class stadium. Afraid we can't use that excuse, after 12 pages of em' there has to be a copyright on it. On a serious note we had two offensive linemen out last week. I do not know what the situation is this week. I am looking forward to a good game, hopefully we will come out on top.

I'm looking forward to the game. I just hope we clean up some of the mistakes.Every week it seems just when we are about to pull away we breakdown with some mistakes or penalties. The timing of the mistakes have hurt. I realize there is fine line between a real good play and a penalty. But, we need to clean it up some. It has kept our games close and could eventually cost us one or more.

Read my previous post I mentioned the call. It looked like one of the many bad calls on both sides.

About three or four years ago they put in a rule that you could not have 12 men in the huddle. It was agood call, just one of t he sloppy mistakes we made.

LCM did find that three receiver set that gave us trouble, but we should have scored three more touchdowns. LCM absolutely could not stop us. All they did was let us stop ourselves, that was the only defense they had. Doty needs to quit making bad decisions. But in his defense he stayed under pressure all season. The o line does a good job run blocking but is struggling with a pass block.Bad calls went both ways. The bad call that hurt LCM was the incomplete pass in fourth quareter that looked like a completion from my vantage point. We got called for a late hit while a tipped ball was still in the air. Another was the fumble called following one of many of Harmon's 30 or 40 yd runs.He hit the ground before the ball came loose.Yes, it was just one official making all the bad calls.
