I'm taking Lumberton in this one.

Example if team A beats team B by 7 and loses to team C by 1 then team A is +6. This is done for all three and the high number wins. Also, 18 is the max spread for one game regardless of the score. Thats why I have always said if you are not up by 18 you need to try and score until the final horn sounds. The reason the coin flip was used after Hurricane Rita was because there were teams with the same record who did not play each other.

14-13 PNG after a 30 minute meeting of the officials after time expires discussing the clock and a field goal, while Nederland fans wait and pray about the outcome. J/K  ;)  But the playoff situation sounds a lot like 2003, doesn't it ?

But in all honesty they really didn't stop us, we stopped ourselves. That has been the case against most teams we have played. Not many have stopped us we just were making some drive killing penalties earlier. The last couple of weeks we have really improved on it and the scores have shown it.

I have 100% confidence in coach Kroeker and the rest of his defensive staff, they are very good. I said late last spring that the most important thing coach Faircloth did was to surround himself with some very good assistants. All the coaches that came with him are very intelligent. In fact I remember all the talk about the job requiring a masters degree, and as it turns out most of the coaches that came with him here also have masters degrees. These coaches are whats making the difference this year and I believe they will have the D prepared. I still say Lumberton will play us a very good game and we will have to play our "A" game. Their offense is more balanced than Vidors and Livingstons, and they have a very good underrated defense.

In a threeway tie or more, they use the point spread with a maximum of 18 pointspread per game used. And that is why if you are less than 18 up you need to score no matter how much time is on the clock. I can see a pontential tiebreaker being used this year for the last spot.

It will be closer than some think. Lumbertons offense will fare better against our defense than Vidor or Livingston, just as LCM did. Lumbertons defense is not getting the recognition they deserve. Most of their games have been low scoring. I believe it will be a good game.

I think so, of course there are few more who have some crow to eat also.

I have to agree. Hopefully PNG/Central lives up to its billing. But, til now Vidor/Central gets my vote.

I think Lumberton's offense will test the Indians more so than they have been the past two weeks. Hopefully we can continue to improve every week.Looking to forward to another good one.
