Impressive run Orangefield has been on, they have been rolling for a while with multiple playoff runs.  Shout out to that community & administration for making ALL the sports a priority. It wasnt that long ago basketball was an afterthought. I feel like Orangefield has one of the better small school athletic programs around. 

Lack of talent and unrealistic expectations seem to be the downfall of most programs.

What are we talking about here? Equipment room? I know it’s late June, but surely we can talk about something with some substance. 

Looks like a great showing by the lions, Buna took a couple of beat downs. This seems like a great event to just go watch some good ball.

Evadale hasn't missed the playoffs since the 90's, he can't get the job done, and he gets HJ?!? And he'll be on year 2 as a coach?!?

Interesting hire, he was a good player but that doesn’t always equate to a good coach. I wonder who all applied? Why did the current coach leave?

This is interesting, has a guy whose team didn’t make the playoffs ever made an All Gold Team?

Where is Coach Brown going?

The real question is will woodville be able to do any damage in the playoffs? It doesn’t seem like they have made many deep runs despite their regular season success.

I would say a player’s offer list is pretty telling of a players ability regardless of sport. Sure there are misses, but not all that often.

I’m setting the Cards win total at 1.5 next year. I’m not sure they can win any district games.

An average Buna team beat them 3/4 

Anahuac swept them, with one of those being being a 20 pop W 

I get the optimism, but kountze was not a good club last year. 

What changed with kountze? 1 great player is coming back I get it, but they got abused last year by anybody with any talent/coaching.

Silly? Maybe? Wrong? Possibly. Just my opinion. Right,wrong or indifferent orangefield is doing what they're supposed to being the biggest school in the district. As is lumberton.

Lumberton? Great season in football, but nothing else.

The day i saw them play he was only guy that looked like he had played ball outside of deweyville…. Evadale tourney about 10-12 years ago.

What a silly take… they are in the correct division based on enrollment set forth by the UIL. How are they  “Essentially playing down”? Several schools in our area on the bigger side of their classifications and still aren’t achieving that much success. (Vidor & Lumberton to name a couple) Orangefield has been really good lately across the board.
