I do not think any of the above listed kids would upgrade at another position was my point.. If LL was playing corner, possibly he could upgrade in the slot... But you cant play LB and be effective on O.... Maybe athletic wise RJ would be a upgrade, however a sophomore might struggle with coverages unless you are a Sage Seau type (which he played exclusively as a freshman and sophomore).. I do think the above mentioned are far superior athletic wise in comparison to others... If Morris is a upgrade, then he needs to be on the O line.... Throw all the internet talks aside, the D is very small behind the line.. Moving a CB to LB will tell you that.. And I am still waiting for a response from 99 on all the speed he talks of.... Defensively, my guess would be only a few defenders hit the 4 second mark...... Secondary might average 150..... LBs might average 160.....

I think Johnson could definitely play safety. He looks lanky but the kid is about 180-185 pounds and can hit. That's bigger than your 160 average. The thing is you will never/rarely see that at PNG because of his value as a QB and offensive weapon period. You don't stick your QB out there to giant hits. He has taken practice reps at CB/S in the past though. While it is a definite low possibility, it can happen.

Didn't Rose play both ways, never leaving the field?

No, he played defense occasionally at corner in clutch situations at crucial times against the opponents #1 receiver and did a very good job, but not on a regular basis.

Correct, from what i heard baby bro led district in receiving his last year. I was confused why he didnt get bigger offers from schools.  I was still in college at the time. Wish I could have seen him dawg that Tony Brown kid from Ozen.

They do, you must dont know Stattrax, and trust me he doesn't come off as being a butthurt Injun. And yes this year will be fun, especially week6 and week8 after we give Mid-county an arse whooping, specifically the ballerinas on Homecoming. lol

Ok all this is good banter. You just got to hope the Titans win. Jamaal Charles, James Johnson, Danny Gorer, Calvin Roberts, Elandon Roberts, etc. ain't walking out on the field. Even when they did, it did not matter. Port Arthur always had/has talent, you could make that argument every year. No state championships though in anything since Lincoln Basketball. How long ago did all the talent pay off,  its been since like 96 right. Port Arthur has been on a championship hiatus for about as long as the Cowboys. But lets focus on this year and see if history will repeat or not.

BUSeems like a butthurt Injun, I highly recommend you grow some thicker skin like the rest of the Injun fans already have, I can see right now its gonna be a long year for you on here, imma love this :)

Butthurt Indian? Please, my kid brother is the QB. Its like watching my Anakin Skywalker go to the dark side. I told the kid to go to NEDERLAND! I have no other connection. I am a Port Arthur guy who grew up with the Lincoln Bumblebees. I don't care if the other Indian peeps don't talk back to you but you lost your mind if you think I'll let you do that. I love the back and forth too much to let it go.  This is going to be a fun year for the both of us sir.

The scoreboard will Week8 and then imma add more right after.

Great. I'll talk after the game. I am one team per week kind of guy so i haven't thought as far out as week 8. Just make sure you beat that Panama team and we will worry about Silsbee. As you noted, week 8, your time is coming...be patient Mr  Mouth

For this tragedy of a an attempt at a southern rap song to have blinded my pupils and bloodied my ears......I personally challenge all teams in district to beat the Vidor Pirates so we never have to be graced with auto parts shops and convenience store reppin lyrics again. BEAT VIDOR!

6-10 folks, lets just enjoy the ride and hope Jerrah gives up his position to his son in 2017.

If and this is a big "if" we are healthy on offense, we are better than 6-10. Offense should dominate TOP with the backs which will protect  #9 and open things for the WRs and TEs. At worst at least to me, 8-8 is the record. At best, 10-6 and that will be close to winning the east. I say this because a good offense with a bad to average defense to me looks like a mediocre team, therefore the 8-8. However, as 2014s success and 2015s failures showed us, you need your premier players  healthy to win or even compete in the big moments in competitive games,

He isn't the whole team. I did see a few interceptions. Good QB but saying without him we would be in a bad spot is just absurd have you heard of Bost he would step in just fine. Riggs is a good punter/ kicker without the wind.

I agree, I never said they couldn't do anything without him. He is a sophomore and unless he has Tom Brady-like qualities in the 10th grade, he will go as far as his weapons and their execution takes them. I'm my bro's biggest fan but I am also a realist. A lifetime of being a Dallas Cowboy fan has humbled me hahaha

He has been there at least since 4th grade for STJFL football

I remember the first padded practice of STJFL, it was right before I left for college. He was not  allowed to hit his teammates because after two collisions, there were two kids crying on the ground. I remember  the coaches saying "Dang son, nice hit but don't kill your teammates", with a huge grin. I loved it because it pissed off all the parents who had "Where the hell did that kid come from?", all over their faces.  Roschon wasn't always a QB. That was a process and still is being developed.  As a child and before he moved to the STJFL, he was a running back and safety in the pop Warner league for the Port Arthur Cowboys. At home, he is never inside. Always practicing, working out, throwing or whatever. When he does make it inside he is watching football. The kid breathes it. I hope he breaks out in the next couple of years so he can realize that Longhorn dream of his.
