  1. I have to quote my Silver and Blue friend, Gasilla - "It's all about the match-ups". The BC @ Silsbee game is a prime example. Silsbee didn't need to option very may times - the dive was killing BC. The Silsbee O- and D-Line size was too much for BC, as well as the outside speed on Silsbee's D. Silsbee won ALL of those match-ups. Now, the question is - How will Silsbee's size and speed match up against WO-S's :?: How will WO-S's speed at skill positions be contained :?: How will WO-S's shallow roster keep them in the game in the 4th quarter, after those big Tiggers have been leaning on them all night :?: It's not about heart - You both have it. It's not about mud - You both have to play in it. This is why I posted earlier in the week, that if anybody (besides BC, that is  ) has a chance to de-throne the Mustangs, it will be Silsbee. This SHOULD be a great game. I'm almost sorry I have to miss it. Hey - You guys wouldn't wanna play on SATURDAY, would ya :?:
  2. To the best of my limited mental capacity, you are  . I don't think head-to-head comes into play, only over-all record. Now head-to-head may come into play for tie-breaker, I'm not sure............. SO - Big game at your house Friday night :!: Maybe we can return that home court thing you guys pulled on us  . Regardless of the outcome, I'm proud of the BC girls for pulling together and winning against Silsbee AND Hamshire-Fannett. To me, that speaks volumes!
  3. That's because Uncle Balla reads the posts, then tells him what it says. Now, do you REALLY think Ol' Uncle Balla is telling him everything, or is he holding back so Kvilleballa won't get his feelings hurt?
  4. That would be great for BC! When he found out he was going to be an assistant Softball coach, he made his way out to Ford Park and watched the AFA 18U Nationals. I was there 5 out of 7 days in 2005, and saw him EVERY DAY I was there. Now that's some dedication! And he did a GREAT job with the JV last year, applying what he had learned. Now if he was willing to do that for girls HS softball, as a JV coach and assistant, just what effort would he put into an AD's job? That's the kind of guy he is, and why I think Orangefield has had a lot of the success they have had this football season. He MAKES kids want to achieve. I like that!
  5. BC has a tremendous amount of athleticism, and a LOT of heart. When they get on a roll, they are hard to stop. HF DID NOT play bad last night, like Silsbee DID NOT play bad when BC beat them. BC got a few good breaks, but I would have to say they had more breaks go AGAINST them than FOR them. If BC can learn to compete at this level all of the time, they will do well in the playoffs. And enough can not be said about Coach Mathews. She works the girls HARD, but she is teaching constantly. She almost ALWAYS has a smile on her face, and has taught these girls how to play loose, relaxed, having fun, and at a higher level. She makes them WANT to play!
  6. Smalley IS a great guy, and I look for him to climb the ladder quickly. While I hated to see him leave BC  , and will hate to see him leave Orangefield (a little less, though ) I HOPE he gets a good shot at an AD's job somewhere when the time is right.
  7. Updated for Tuesday's action (10-17-06).
  8. AAA, AAAA, what's the dif? The Hill is still making noise! Congrats ladies on a great season.......so far. Keep it up!
  9. SORRY, 33. It was a great game! Both teams left it out on the court. They both played really well!
  10. Your rushing things! You've got WO-S tonight, and we've got HF at BC. We'll see YOU Friday night at your house!
  11. Shoot, 'cuz! Balla can't reed - he get Uncle Balla to do that for 'em!
  12. Oh' date=' the joy you must feel![/b'] VARSITY will be done, sitting in the football stands, eating gumbo and drinking a coke, while us lowly FRESHMAN parents are STILL waiting for the JV to get done!
  13. KVILLEBALL - You just keep on overlooking this week's opponent! As for me and my Cardinals, we have to play ORANGEFIELD this week. We'll worry about you next Saturday!
  14. Updated 10-16 - I'm assuming WO-S won @ HJ.
  15. I'm not your momma  , BUT: YES NO - We will still have some out (2?) - plus we've lost 2 for the season.
  16. This will be a very good game. If BC gets a few more injured back, and they play closer to potential, like they did Friday night, they will pull off the "W" - If not, my Northern Neighbors will take them out of the play-off race. BC by 4
