  1. WO-S in hard-fought 1st half, track-meet 2nd half. I think HF may be a sleeper, but even so, WO-S will be too much.
  2. This years BC team is making a habit of playing "ugly", but keeping it close, and in 2 of 3 pulling out the "W" in the end (should'a been 3 of 3, in my opinion). While it's not doing anything good for my BLOOD PRESSURE, a WIN is a WIN. BC by 4.
  3. For everyone's info........... I heard over ther weekend Kirbyville has a transfer who becomes eligible this week, and supposedly he's a stud. Faster than anybody else they have on the team, and strong as well! Could this be why these K'ville posters are being so annoyingly sure of themselves? Is the secret out :?:
  4. Updated for Fri/Sat games. Missing some results, though. Let me know if you have them.
  5. Here's all I'm saying..... 2005 - BC up at half (regardless of the question of if it was a TD or not - that's old hat and not reletive at this time), loses 34-41 - one of the closest 3A opponents for WO-S all year. 2004 - BC chokes, gives up the ball, and loses in OT 21-27. We weren't suppoesed to be able to compete with them either of those years, either. I know WO-S is VERY talented and tough, and I'm not trying to take anything away from them. But when District starts, anything can happen! Do I expect WO-S to win District again? Realistically, yes. Do I WANT them to win it again? No more than HFanInTheStands does! ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN! NEVER say Never!
  6. Yes. :x I believe Jasper, Silsbee, and Bridge City are CAPABLE of beating WO-S. Does that mean any of them will? Only time will tell! But on any given Friday night..................................... :?
  7. UPDATED 10-24-06..... I have updated this info BASED ON A LOT OF ASSUMPTIONS and all the facts I could gather. Winners in CAPS, losers in lower case. 8. GOOD! I would hate to see any kid lose the chance to play!
  9. buZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! BUzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! I THINK I'M HEARING IT, TOO!
  10. I had heard that 2 of Silsbee's stronger players were injured in the PNG game. Any truth to that? Not starting rumors, just trying to guage depth for this weeks game against Newton.
  11. I TRULY and HONESTLY believe that the Coaching staff at BC does not like to put too much on film early in the season. It seems to me that's the way they've played pre-District games in the past 3 or 4 years. I was VERY surprised they used Dishon at tailback and receiver as early in the season as they did, unless it was to test Stringer and get him some snaps. That being said may be the reason we are seeing so much Dishon at this time. Every sports fan in SETexas who can read knows what a tremendous athlete he is, and everybody EXPECTS him to be "the" man. OK - We've shown everyone what they expected to see. BUt I believe there's a lot more to come that people DON'T expect to see! And time will only tell!

  13. Lumberton has a very good passing attack (surprise). Cleveland will go down hard!
  14. VERY good win for L-town Friday night. But I gotta say, they have a LONG way to go to have a shot at a play-off spot. Their size is not that big, and they didn't show a lot of team speed. They did play hard, with heart, and as a team. But in ths District, they have a long way to go. This is not a sour grapes post, either. They deserved the "W" Friday, and I'll give them their due. But I'm also, at the same time, trying to be a realist about this. Lumberton Football has made GREAT strides forward - It's just not enough yet. Right now, I would pick them to finish 4th in District, and that's a long way from where they HAVE been!
  15. Not the greatest hitters, but I think the meamest and nastiest for me HAD to be Bishop Byrne in the mid-70's. Those guys were just plain set-a-cat's-tail-on-fire-and-watch-him-run-for-fun mean!
