  1. I gotta go with BC vs Silsbee. WOS should have enough returning to handle everyone else, while the rest of us scramble in the dog-fight for 2nd and 3rd and a play-off spot. I've read quite a bit about Silsbee being tougher than everyone thinks this year, and Jasper may still be a little down ( I said A LITTLE, not a lot  - They will always compete!), so that leaves the big battle between BC and Silsbee. BC has some talent coming back, but I can't say for sure how "seasoned" we will be. A LOT of juniors got left down on JV last year because of the number of seniors that were on Varsity. While they got a lot of playing time, I don't know how "mature" they will play on Varsity this year - That will be the key to BC's season, I believe. Best of luck to everyone (except when you play BC) - It's gonna be a WAR! :BB
  2. Great Season, Cards! I know I didn't get to follow you as much as I would have liked because of softball, and it will remain that way for a few more years, but you know your town supports you in heart when they can't in person! THANK YOU seniors for your leadership, hard work and dedication to the game. You've set the mark high for those who follow!
  3. BC will face Cameron's #1 tomorrow in Kimbrel. Hope the bats are still alive and the D plays good ball. Looks like I'll get to go see the next 1 ( or 2) :!:
  4. CardBB - Great job! Are you watching it from the BB USA camera?
  5. Gotta love listening to Josh Smalley on the radio
  6. Sorry CardBB - thought you might have lost the game!
  7. Sparks walks. 1 on no outs. Casey Jackson works the count to 3-1, ground ball to SS, out at 1, Sparks advances to 3rd. Hecker at the plate.
  8. THANKS! Couldn't get the blinky-box0thingy to work!
  9. I think everyone on here could agree with Hales from BH for the SETx POTW - IF HE WERE ON THIS SIDE OF THE TRINITY! (sorry BHFan - Just hadta throw that little gig in there! 8) )
  10. JODY and BHFAN - You guys are always welcome EAST of the Trinity - BUT I wouldn't cross the Sabine if I were you! Congrats to the Hill on a great season with a bunch of young kids. No where to go but up!
  11. Everybody can rip my ORANGE neighbor for this post if you want' date=' but I believe it to be very true. In fact, the same was true for the girls in softball. When you get used to playing 5 innings, winning by 10 runs, and laughing and joking in the dug-out, it's hard to get it turned around and get focused in a tight ball game. And the play-offs are ALL tight ball games. You forget how to concentrate and get mentally focused to play great error-free ball when you go so long without having to. (my $.02 worth)
  12. Early and late - Didn't matter tonight either way!
  13. OK - I'll guess I'll have to take full responsibility for this....... I only caught about 10 innings of baseball all season because I was following the girls as they played softball. I was at the game last night from the first pitch to the last. I was online tonight for this game, from the first pitch to the last. SO HERE'S WHAT I'LL DO! NO GAMES FOR 3ABirdMan TOMORROW! I'll try not to get the baseball gods stirred up, so they will leave my Cardinals alone, and let them return to their previous dominating form! Good game, Iggles!
  14. Man, this sounds UGLY! Hope my 'Birds get their act together soon! We won't get very far playing like this.
  15. BUT THE SCOUTING REPORT SAID BRENHAM HAD TROUBLE WITH LEFTIES! ! ! ! ! ! I like the choice, myself. Play to your advantage and their DISadvantage. I think the problem was Womack was left in too long. Hey, that's what scouting reports are for, and why Griff has done the job he has over the years and won so many people's admiration! They just fell a little short this game. But to hang with the Nations #10 team 3-4 - Nothing to be sorry about! Everybody in AAAA Region III knows the road to Austin goes through Brenham! Congrats on a GREAT season, Bears!
  16. Angelle's less than stellar performance led to most of those past balls. This was not his best outing, and I'm not making excuses. BH hit the ball well - and yes, against Angelle. BC made great adjustments at the plate against BH's 2nd and 3rd pitcher. Dumb question (I follow softball, and forgot alot of baseball) - How many arms did BH burn tonight? Are any of those kids still alive for this series, or are they all done? JODY - I looked high and low for you, but never saw you. I was expecting you and RBARKER to be there, but couldn't find you! Sorry I missed you!
  17. CT has been a VERY IMPORTANT part of the success they are having, but their Senior leadership and offensive production by Joi Oldbury and Karlie Harrell have just as important.
  18. Great kid, Great Family! Congrats, bud! Play hard and keep us proud!
