A&M doesn't have to have a top defense to win. If he can get them to the top 30-40 range he will be a hero and A&M will win a lot of games.

Supposedly 5 star Bama committ Kendall Sheffield is still in talks with A&M. That would be big to flip someone from Saban. Most people predicted him to A&M but he picked Bama during the Ags search for a DC.

I agree. He didn't get into all of the Twitter drama like a lot of the recruits. He tweeted twice in 9 days and all hell broke loose. A lot of these kids get off to all of the attention they get trolling fans on Twitter. It's fun to keep up with, but it's really pretty annoying especially when fans start tweeting 17 yr old kids. Here is a good tip- Don't tweet at young boys! You aren't helping your school.

Allen is fine, it's Spavital that I worry about.

I was/am hoping they would offer Hubeneck from Blnn just to add some depth. A&M has had 5 or 6 QB's transfer in the last few years and need to add some capable players. In your scenario Allen wouldn't transfer in the middle of the season, so he would still be around if Kyler got hurt.

Murray isn't early enrolling so he will be behind to start the season. It's Allen's job to lose.

When you lose 3 1st round draft picks and all of your best players are true freshman that tends to happen. Most people projected 2014 to be a rebuilding year for A&M so 8 wins wasn't too bad. You could have won money in Vegas betting the Ags over 6.5 wins.

And yet A&M strength of schedule is still ranked higher......

I believe he is paying his own way and grey shirting next year. Maybe he will get a scholarship now. They should go after the kid from New Mexico with 0 offers. No way he could turn then down.

He's talking about a TV series btw. Moore was a 3 star recruit coming out of HS that played for 3 years at A&M and finished with 26.5 sacks. He was projected before his Jr season to be a top 10 pick, but a bad combine dropped him all the way to the late 3rd round. In his 2 seasons with the Giants he has played in 31 of their 32 games and finished this season with 5.5 sacks. I wouldn't think most people would consider him a bust, but go ahead if it makes you feel better.

Nederland's Kevin Barbay announced today that he will be joining McElwain's staff at Florida. Congrats Kevin!

Deandrea McNeal is committed to Texas and I'm pretty sure he's 100% after Charlie promised him he would catch the first pass of the year against Notre Dame. He is listed as an athlete but wants to play receiver in college. His HS coaches have said he's a better linebacker than Malik so we will see where he ends up.
