  1. I guess according to you it's pretty much the same to get blown out by one of the top teams in the country that made the playoff, than getting blown out by the worst team in the SEC West while only gaining 59 total yards with 2 yards rushing with a whole month to prepare.
  2. I've been to quite a few road games and Lubbock is still the worst place I've ever been. I don't get why kids would go to school there on purpose. We are headed to Vandy this year. That should be a good time and maybe we can actually win that one.
  3. Here you go Baddog. Nice write up on Deshawn Washington [Hidden Content]
  4. If only we could all play Kansas, Tech, and Iowa State each year in conference.....
  5. I don't think you can win a lawsuit against a coach for a promise made. If that was the case every coach and recruiter in the country would live in the courtroom. Now he could sue the school and coach for an unsafe environment or some crap that allowed him to get jumped in the locker room and end his career. I believe he is saying Charlie made that promise so he didn't sue which would make more sense. The courts will get it all figured out.
  6. I needed a good laugh today [Hidden Content]
  7. It doesn't bother me at all. I just think it's funny that yall act like Charlie is some kind of saint unlike every other coach in the country. If that makes your fanbase feel better during subpar seasons then good for you. Please provide examples of Sumlin looking the other way?
  8. It seems that I remember the Big Cigars openly opposing Watson as the OC(not sure why, 59 yards may have something to do with it.) So Charlie named Wickline his OC and paid his QB coach Watson more money. I don't know how many QB coaches make more than their OC but I would bet it's not much more than 1. Giving Wickline the OC title got the Big Cigars off his back for a little bit and got around Wickline's buyout by breaking Core Value #1( Honesty). Maybe I'm remembering wrong, I'm sure you will all correct me. As for the other case, that is for the courts to decide. The kid was beaten and Charlie kicked off the 2 players that did it. It was kept quiet to some extent, but no one knows what Charlie promised the kid behind closed doors. If he can prove It in court then that would be a black eye for Charlie. I think if Charlie was still at Louisville they probably would have just paid the kid to go away.
  9. He is another lawsuit involving Charlie for lying. I guess I make all of this stuff up. [Hidden Content]
  10. Charlie kicked off a bunch of benchwarmers and gave most of the better players 2nd chances. You consider that ZERO TOLERANCE? He is currently being sued by a former player for covering up an assault in his locker room, but I guess you forgot to mention that. Sumlin has kicked off players that needed it. One for theft and 2 for drugs and guns off the top of my head. He kept 2 QB's that got PI's and yall act like its the end of the world. Newsflash, most college kids drink and a lot of them are underage.
  11. You do realize that core values are basically just the laws of our country that Charlie post on the wall, right? I bet every coach in the country doesn't want his players beating women and doing drugs but since Charlie puts it on the wall he really means it.
  12. I have a kid that will be 2 yrs old on Saturday. I'm currently training him to be 6'4 and throw footballs really hard.
  13. Watson will have to be willing to change or he will be unemployed again. He never tried to play to Swoopes strengths last year. The best coaches are flexible and can adjust to the roster of needed. Watson will have to prove he can do that this year or it will be a long season.
  14. Average recruiting rankings over the last 4 years. A&M ranks 9th overall and 6th in the SEC. Texas is tied for 10th and 1st in the Big 12 The cupboard is bare argument is weak. [Hidden Content]
  15. Ags roll against Mizzou today. They need to win at least 4 of their final 6 games to have a shot at the tourney. That would put them 20-8 and 11-5 in conference. If they win 5 of last 6 I think they are in for sure.
  16. Interesting read. Texas HS Football is still King [Hidden Content]
  17. I guess core values don't apply to Chuckie @BruceFeldmanCFB: Some pissed off signees out there RT @BryanDFischer: Texas DT signee Du'Vonta Lampkin on the Chris Rumph to #UF news… [Hidden Content]
  18. The parents have to sign if the kid isn't 18 yet. Not sure if that's the case. Otherwise the kid could go to Kinkos and send a fax pretty easily if he wanted to.
  19. This goes along with my post yesterday. The coach is supposed to be tied to his word but the players aren't?
  20. Oregon signed zero recruits from Oregon. 22 players from 9 different states with 9 from California.
  21. I look for the NCAA to institute an early signing period for football like they have in other sports. Basketball has 7 days in November where players can sign early then the regular date in April. A lot of school are going to push for this because of the amount of money and time spent recruiting players. This year is one of the worst I've seen as far as players flipping back and forth and it will only get worse with social media. I can't decide if I'm for that or against it. The way coaches change jobs it isn't really fair for the players to be locked into a school after the coach that they agreed to play for takes another job. It also isn't fair to the schools to hold spots for kids that don't keep their word, but I guess that's part of the game. Thoughts?
  22. Miami has 13 players committed for 2016. Ole Miss and TCU are 2 & 3 with 8 commits. A&M, Texas and Bama each have 3. It looks like Golden skipped 2015 and got an early start for next year. Still a long way to go though.
  23. Ags had 3 Five stars according to 247 Composite. Kirk, Mack, and Murray The entire Big 12 had 1- Malik
  24. “I silently committed back to A&M on my official visit and I told Coach Sumlin before I left (on the weekend of Jan. 16),” Mack exclusively told GigEm247 on Tuesday night. “The moment I knew I was going back was when I met with the coaches on my visit. The moment that shocked me was when coach (Terry) Price pulled up coach (John) Chavis’ list of players he’s coached at my position that were in the NFL and it was impressive. I had no idea he’d coached that many people. Then he compared that list to the entire Big 12. Not just TCU or Texas, but the entire conference, and after that I kinda knew. Plus, I knew if I came in and played as hard as I could and stayed healthy that I would be able to get to next level.” [Hidden Content]
  25. Classes are ranked by total number of stars so those 4 extra players make a big difference in class ranking.
