Based on the talent at the underclass levels, I suspect you are correct. SC will struggle to catchup with the bigger boys in 6A the next couple of years.

Lol. You guys are hilarious. Most of what you say here are untruths... But, you can make yourself believe this... So that some can play the 'whoooa is me ' card.

Here is one Summer Creek fan. 16-6A looks to be a pretty competitive district. I don't see SC dominating right out of the gates (especially against The Woodlands) but they should survive. Maybe a 5th place finish in 2014, hopefully playoffs in 2015.

We might not hear from them for a couple years.  :)

Where yall at? Now that your in the new 6A. And a new district. What are your thoughts? 

What you have to understand though is that everybody doesn't have the means to go to college if they chose to. Some of these kids only way out of their enviroments is a football field or a basketball court, and they understand that at a very early age. There are academic requirements to stay eligible in sports and if you stay in good standing, by the time your college career is over you'll either be graduated or very close. To me, if getting a scholarship isn't your goal then your accepting mediocrity. Some kids play and know full well they won't get a scholarship but that doesn't mean that's not one of their goals. I don't let my son play football because I like worrying about him being paralyzed, I let him play because it got me a degree and I know how an education can kick-start your life. Especially one you get debt free.

I knew a coach at WF Hirschi who couldnt coach a lick and his teams sucked but he got 4+ kids each year to a college cause he used his connections.

Correct, but UT had Felix who should be the leading scorer. ;) UT is a better overall team than Okie Lite even with Smart, Smart would have at least kept it close (unless he pulled a Ron Artest on poor Bevo)

I understand the playing as a team, to put the whole before the one, but if a kid has the potential to play at the next level then why not give him the opportunity to shine.

He played QB for the Ozen freshman team.

Hopkins doesn't want to play anymore. Last I heard was he wanted to follow in his brothers foot steps and sign up for the Navy.

They have an AD and each highschool has an Athletic Coordinator which is the football head coach.
