Good season Jasper proved a lot of people wrong this post season. Congrats to Bellville. Let's keep it up and take care of business next week so we could see 3 slot t teams in state in 3 different divisions.

Hey DAWGS fans, I caught the tail end of KJAS broadcast last night and Scott wad telling Van that he had asked Coach Crumedy  what the future look like as far as players go.
He said that CC told him there is a Freshman linebacker that he really thinks is going to be better than TyAnthony (#4).
for me,  after watching #4 the past three seasons do what he has done on the Varsity level that's hard to believe. never said the young man's name though

Anyone else notice the difference between the approach to this game that Jasper fans are taking compared to Silsbee fans? Jasper fans not talking crazy and making outlandish comments, just taking it step by step and not drawing any unnecessary fire.

I think taking the quiet approach is pretty much the Jasper way. Oh, we poke fun a little bit sometimes, but rarely seriously. Jasper has had too many very good teams get sidelined over the years. One of the very best didn't even get out of the district. That Jasper team sent THREE players to the NFL. Two lasted long term. One was an uncle to the Jasper Defensive Coordinator. No, Jasper fans know to pretty much keep the trash talk down.

Too bad our fans can't play. Pretty sure Bellville can't block us all. 😁

Thanks! (about our DC) Malcolm was outstanding as DAWG himself, then at McNeese University.   he knew the game well already before his NFL days which topped it off. He interacts with the young men so well. He is a great role model!  Being honest when the HC position opened up he was by far my and the majority of Jasper hands down who we wanted to take over . At that point he had not finished getting his Masters. Don't get me wrong iwe feel blessed to have CC(Coach Crumedy). he is a hometown guy also. He had been OC and track coach at Manvel for quite a while..

Without a doubt Bellville is a well oiled machine. hopefully & just maybe someone forgot to put the plug back in on the last oil change.

Hoping for a competitive game  , Bellville looks great , but you gotta play the game . Pulling for those Dogs . Hopefully they reached out to CT for the keys to lock up that wing offense , and neutralize #99. 

Obviously Bellville is the favorite in this match up. Jasper defense has been playing extremely well in the playoffs. Will be interesting to see what the Jasper coaching  comes up with on offense to keep the chains moving. I’ll be tuned in on this game. Good luck Jasper..

Good analysis Ipsa.  I think Huntsville is definitely looking for the Iowa Hawkeye type game with the over/under in the 20’s, similar to their 14-13 Randle game.  They need to limit the mistakes, get some 1st downs, run some clock, and make this a defensive game.  If PNG jumps out 14-0, it will be trouble.  A shootout clearly favors PNG.  The Hornets did have that 39-36 game with Brenham, but that’s not the kind of game they want to play here.
