Makes alot of sense actually. I think everyone agrees that WOS is the better team, the better team almost always wins in a series. Go for one game and you never know what could happen.

Not confirmed but I just read that the Mustangs and OF will have the field Friday at Lamar at 7.
 

Well, here we go again. All 4 of us advance and all 4 of us have to play each other next week. WOS/Orangefield.   Silsbee/Bridge City.......  I called this happening over a month ago. 22-4A = toughest district in the State!!! Good luck to all our teams (Especialy WOS) and let's stay healthy so the remaining 2 teams can make a run!!

Hate to see or predict one of our district mates going down but great season Bobcats! WOS is the real deal. On the flip side, atleast we get to watch some baseball playoffs without having to travel this week. Lol 

I vote for a Thursday, Friday, Saturday double header at Lamar with BC vs Silsbee & OF vs WOS.   Let's make that happen.  

I would think HJ is not an option unless in the last year they have built a concession stand and installed their lights. 
Jasper is the nicest facility that we (the Mustangs) have played at this year (so far).  That is probably why we played 2 tournaments there this season.  Also, the relationship with Coach Westbrook does not hurt.

With all 4 of our teams playing great ball right now, I like our chances. Look at Orangefield, they knocked off Hudson and they did it convincingly. I've said it before but if we took all 4 of our teams and put them each in a different district, all 4 probably would be District Champs. Man what a tough district we have down here. Then if we added HJ to the mix it would have been even harder. Still not sure why they put HJ in the other district.

This series really surprised me. Not so much that BC won it but the fashion that they won it. Good Luck to BC the rest of the way. 

I can't? So, you would be willing to give a second chance to someone who did any of the things I listed, to your family? I'm not trying to pick a fight, just saying that I'm not going to be very forgiving to someone who beats, rapes or robs anyone. Those aren't "mistakes" those crimes are true reflections of the person inside, and can not be rehabilitated. And, like I said, the VICTIM, certainly doesn't get a second chance.

These protests are just IGNORANT!  I am all for innocent until proven guilty and that was why I had my problems with the "newsworthiness" of this.  However, those that are staging this protest do not realize that they flashing even more of a spotlight on these young men with their stupid protests. 
And for what?  the WO-C CISD following the Code of Conduct, just like the one that has been in place at every high school across the since ALL of us where in high school, and is mandated by State law?  The very same Code of Conduct that every child was provided and had to sign off (as well as their parents) that they have reviewed it and would abide by it. If the attorney for Morris wanted to show somehow that the provisions which allowed the district to move Morris to an alternative school, he should have bothered to show for the injunction hearing that was scheduled on this matter!  And even better, I have been told that this very same attorney has told Morris not to attend school!  This guy should be disbarred!
All these folks that are shouting "no justice, no sleep" should go home and get some because they are demonstrating behavior that sounds like they have been sleep deprived!

some of the fans were griping about the catcher making the call, so I'm assuming that the HF catcher noticed it on his previous swing and alerted the umpire (which is great catching, IMO)

Why is the ump watching the feet instead of the ball?  If batter took the pitch, how would he know if it was a ball or a strike?

Well, there you have it.  It was confusing, whatever it was.

Player was not on home plate.  That was not the call.  The call was for being completely out of batters box, which is an impossibility without being on the plate.
The umpires in this area have no clue to what the rule is.

That call that allowed the run to score was crazy! Ump not seeing right tonight.

First time to see the Hamm kid pitch and I agree he's going to be the big man on campus real soon. Very solid at the plate and has an extremely live arm.
Never fails BC always finds a way to reload . The game was better than the score reflected.

I normally wouldn't play the blame game .... but To me the ump made both kids uncomfortable..... when you are unsure where he wants it makes it hard to hit a spot ... Both kids made some big pitches in big spots that could have got them out of innings a little quicker. 

I was sitting behind the plate the entire game, and you could tell that the umpires floating strike zone was confusing to both catchers,the hitters,and the 6 pitchers that took the mound.....I hope we don't have to deal with that guy again......

Why is it that everytime a team loses they have to complain and say the refs cost them the game! I watched the game and could really have cared less who won. Both calls were consistent with the calls the refs made all night against both teams. Both teams played fast and physical games. Lumberton controlled the ball the entire second half but just never got off any real good shots on goal! Please don't say the refs cost Lumberton the game! They made good calls and bad calls both ways!

All coaches know you never want to be the first guy to follow a Legend and in Nederland, Neumann is a Legend. Barrow is the logical choice to continue the tradition. If he is not successful then you truly open it up and bring in a new voice with a new philosophy. It really is a simple concept, you continue what has been good in Nederland until it ceases to be good.

I don't disagree with that statement.  But any sucker punch should have more punishment than just being involved should have.
