This is the first time in school history that Bridge City has made it to the 3rd round of the playoffs.
Also, their current 14 game win streak is the longest in school history.
Definitely an historical season for the Cards.

UIL rules have changed that doesn't allow some teams to play warm up games these days. Teams now have game limits and once they have reached those limits, you are not allowed to play any extra unless it's for district seeding or play in games.
Most teams these days play tournaments that are pool play which allows teams to play more tourney games. That adds up over the season. Also several play in multiple holiday jamborees which adds to their totals.
Really the only teams that can play warm up games these days are teams that have to wait till football is over to start their basketball season. Sometimes that's two to three weeks after everyone else has started. Usually that is only in the 3A and down classifications.
We still have some teams that will play warm up games this year. I have already received info on some of the games.

I honestly don’t think Bridge City would gain anything from playing East Chambers… Nothing against EC but they aren’t that great this year. Now Bridge City vs Orangefield would be better

Congrats on a great season BC. Cardinals defense was one of the best we played this year. Fan support was tremendous. 

I feel like this district gets a bad wrap because of who we match up with in the first round. There are a lot of 4A D1 districts that would get swept by Kilgore and company.

quit downplaying the cheating. or poor sportsmanship, or theft. however you want to frame it. finding the watch and stealing the opponent's plays instead of being good enough to stop them honestly is literally the definition of taking the easy road. i'm just now reading back through this thread and the posts you're making are delusional. blaming BC for LCM's cheating is nonsense. 

The watch or band tells the players exactly what play is going to be run.  It's easy enough for anyone who knows football to know what's coming.  Video shows the LCM DC hiding behind a few players and looking at the device and then signaling his players to one side or another and run or pass.  If you're a DC and you see "counter right" where are you putting your players? 
It's an integrity issue.  No rule against it.  Sure doesn't look good though. 
 

😂😂😂 to many penalties but lots of games to improve 

Johnson at QB is going to give everyone hell. Its been a while since Silsbee has had a legit dual threat QB. Last one I remember was Dontre Thomas. 
Silsbee OL is legit and has a bunch of size. #0 and #20 are good at RB. 
WRs will continue to improve but I liked #6 in particular. The more reps the better he will get. 
DL maybe be one fo the best in the district. Great job adjusting and stopinf the run. 
LB could be the Best in 4A overall. Good speed all around. 
Secondary very young by plays hard. Almost had a pick 6 in the 4th. 
Silsbee had to have around 15 penalties last night. Some were questionable but were called. It is week 1 and alot of games left

With that being said, this year’s Bayou Bowl is shaping up to be a good one. OF is looking for a great year with a big win vs Woodville. Both teams should be 2-0 going into the game.

Did he apply? If so was he offered the job? If he did apply and didnt get offered then I understand being upset. If he didnt then No reason to be upset. If he did and was offered but chose not to accept then be upset at him.
