If Alto has only one good pitcher, this could go the other way quick.

Reality is that Evadale is good enough to win two games in a row from Alto, but if Alto is fired up and can get one good game of pitching, it will get real interesting.

Not saying they didn't, but, that would not be smart. Maybe start your #2 guy, but not #4. And then, when you get to the playoffs, you better not need a guy who hasn't thrown from the hill all year! Guess we will see if their top three can rescue them this weekend. JMHO

Love of money has ruined many things, now high school state championships i this happens. Neutral sites are more fair. If there was going to "have" to be a single site, should definitely either rotate sites or be in a more neutral site. The UIL should not make this decision based on selfish ambition, but should do what is best for the schools. In setx terms, bunch of bull crap if this happens over money!    

Most of his experience has been in Bball. Doesn't mean he couldn't take head football. One thing small schools look for is someone with a vested interest in hopes that they will stay around longer than someone who has no ties. Do not know if it is best because of the politics. Henry is known and well liked there for the most part I believe and I think his wife still works in WH. Sounds somewhat logical except for the lack of head football experience. Getting a good person with good leadership abilities to help young men be productive in life still counts for something as well. From what I have heard and know, Henry can probably do that. Will be interesting.

What is up in West Hardin? They had some kids a few years back that should be in high school now and were really good at baseball. I really figured it would turn around when they got there. 

Thought Westfall would leave a couple of years ago, so they held him longer than some would have thought. They may do better to hire someone from the outside that will not be influenced by people they know. Might be hard for someone from there to come in and make it work. I know the downfall is that outside coaches do not always stay in a small community very long, but a hometowner can catch a lot of quick fire over accusations of favoritism to people they know. Either way, wish them well. There are some kids that should be on varsity about now that should have some talent.   

Man, I know y'all are Kville fans, but you better stay real about Jasper. They are going to come ready. They are in an intense offseason program in which most of the football players are in because very few of them play baseball. They have a lot of the key players coming back from last year and are going to be faster and stronger from what I hear. Speed and Skipper, you can give your opinions and Kville has a chance, but just as we do not know who will win the Super Bowl next year, we do not know who will win district or the Kville-Jasper contest. It will be played hard by two good teams. I personally think that Jasper will probably win by less than one touchdown, but until games start and we see how they are playing there is really no way to know how they are going to do. Go ahead and enjoy your talks, but Jasper will be for real again this year. I certainly do not think Center will jump Jasper in district. 

Chester 12-2 in 5 is my prediction.

It doesn't necessarily make that good of sense to the ones that live there and I can promise you it will be avoided as long as possible because I have heard that mentioned at least since the mid-nineties. They will exhaust all options before that were to happen. The school is vital and important to the community and the people there. They take pride in it and do the best they possibly can. 

I think it is a coach from Legacy that is coming with the new baseball coach they just signed! I do not think the baseball coach has been coaching for a couple of years, but he  is a class act and baseball guy. His dad lead Chester to the state quarter-finals at least twice in the eighties and then came back in 96 and led Chester to an undefeated year in the regular season that year. The football guy is a trustworthy leader of young men I am sure. This is a promising accomplishment for Chester and will bring good ethics and respect to the program and kids there. I do not know the football guys name. Mark Young will coach baseball.

Did hear that Chester is hiring a football coach, but not sure if it is concrete. They are going to try to play from what I am hearing. That's great if numbers allow.
