[/quote] Probably a fair statement. The two seniors have been fairly consistent though. They also have the availability of a lefty in Neal if they need him on the mound. I also think that sophomore Hubert can pitch when needed and do well. Desire, unity, and discipline will determine how far the team goes. Depth will not be the problem. I think they will do well.

Sounds like a good start. Hoping for the best and these boys are scrappy, especially on the baseball field. Stay determined and just play good baseball, the rest will come. Tanner, I expect you to hit 400 this year!

When did they practice?

Jasper was up 6-1 in the 4th. WOS scored one on an error in the first inning, Jasper turned it up in the third an fourth. Left the park, dont know the final.

And the question was????????? Oh yeah! No, Kville will not start ranked in 3A, they will have to earn a 3A ranking. It very well may be better for them not to start off in 3A ranked. You are more of a target when you are ranked and more so coming up from 2A if they started off ranked. They just need to work and play hard and not worry about all this talk the fans are doing about them. With their coaches I am sure this will not be a problem. It is not what the rankings say, but what the record says that counts. hope these area teams do well.   

Realistically, 2-3 would be good on that schedule. 3-2 is the best I see. It will still be a good prep for district and the playoffs. Rather have a couple of losses to 4A teams and WOS and be battle tested for what counts than play an easy schedule and not be prepared.

It will be interesting. I would want to pick Chester in this district. They have the talent, but I have a few concerns that may not play a part. I wish I knew what Broaddus and Brookeland have. What about Colmesniel and West Sabine? Whoever whens this district will have to play every game out and have at least three good pitchers. Eight team district! Play hard Jackets, it will take it to win it!

They are a very good program and have risen from less than mediocrity to more than respected and in some cases feared by their opponents. Good coaching with talented players will bring a successful result. Kville will do well in either class and not all 2A  programs that are good in 2A could be good in 3A like Kville  could. They will not be a power house, but will be competitive and still could go far.

Fact is, Kville gets there wish now. They get to play Jasper at least until the next realignment. I can promise you Jasper's goals in football will be effected very little by one game with Kville. It is one game on the schedule and will not determine a successful season.

That is a tough pre-district, but that is good to do. I like it.

Kirbyville will be competitive in district and probably make the playoffs, but, as stated earlier, this district will still be better than the one they were in and Center and Diboll will not be pushovers for them. I really think Jasper sets up to be the favorite in this district and will be returning a lot of there key players from last year. I know Kville returns some as well, but they are losing dominant palyers on both sides. Good coaching should keep Jasper and Kville toward the top of this district for years to come.  

Like how they broke 2a,1a down by division. This will probably make it more competitive in those districts.

This is without a doubt absurd. If it would have been for travel why would Vidor have been the only team involved. I wonder if all the teams on their schedule now are within 30 miles from home? Give me a break. I guess they will start telling the UIL that they cant travel very far, so please make our district close for us now! I dont live close to Vidor or Crosby, but this is crazy. I hope the people of Crosby hold someone accountable for this because this is a hindrance to the progress of a less racial society. Of all the predominantly black teams that Vidor faces, you do not hear of any trouble and then they pull this? CMON MAN!
