In fairness, the same news network has reported on PA and Beaumont low scores too. They reported on the higher scoring districts as well.

I’m alway rooting for WOS but the low score trends year after year needs to improve.

I’d like to look at the test scores and socioeconomics of all of the state champs…I’m not certain, but I’d be willing to bet most of them are high in both categories

I don't know why you say that. You really think I just made that up? A fairytell? Seriously?

No one is pointing at your grandparents. What I am doing is contrasting the privileged poor of today that gang bangs and commits the vast majority of crimes then uses "poverty" as an excuse, to the preceding generations that were FAR poorer than the poor of today, but were solid, law abiding citizens. The world has changed. Fathers are mostly absent and the welfare generation is running wild. Over the past year many cities have became war zones. Its not mostly isolated to Chicago, NY, and LA anymore. Sad days for whats left of America.

Wouldn’t surprise me any of Toby never applies again. The first time he didn’t get picked was understandable, but this one is different.

Why in the hell would y’all want Foreman (Aka: Paul Wall the Peoples Champ)? I’m seeing all this about the community being upset he was not hired…Foreman has an overall record that is a good bit below .500. I’ve got no dog in the fight, as I live in Fort Worth, but I have certainly become a big fan of WOS football over the years. Is the community really upset that Foreman didn’t get hired?

  4. La Porte should’ve hired OC Beck Neal instead of the 1 and done disaster. I’m hoping he applies again, and LP makes the right decision this time. He’s an LP native, spent the majority of his coaching career there, and is a great coach (has an incredible rapport with the players). Cmon LP do right by the kids!

Hopefully they will connect the dots soon. There is some good talent coming up, and I could see some deep playoff runs.

Yessir anytime I’ve ever watched Silsbee play, I just sat in amazement at the caliber of athletes they have. If they can indeed get the dots connected, and put football “first”, then it would be state title city in Silsbee.

PS. What do y’all run offensively these days?

I guess the question is whether "fine" is good enough for WOS.  "Fine" is good enough for BC.  Heck, "Ok, I guess" is good enough for BC.  "Pretty good" is okay with Silsbee.  WOS has always had the pinnacle of coaching.... "Fine", "ok," "pretty good" and "decent" is not what the Mustangs have had in the past.

    Congrats on the "woke" hire.

Anybody wanna bet on how long until they start renaming stadiums and fields over there, too?

Silsbee should have several state titles. They get some of the best athletes in the state on a year in year out basis. I’m still confused as to why Silsbee has yet to get turf on their field? That’s “one” sign that football is not “very” important there.
