I know nothing about this district but i'll stick with the hometown for all the games this year. I think this year could be a special year at PAM
I heard a lot of people saying that last night. They seem to have it all. Defense, offense, and special teams and will only get better as the season goes. They have the best passer in the area (you had to be there...lol) a hongry (yeah, I said it, HONGRY) young bull at running back. Good receiving core and o-line and one of the best Defenses in the state.

Been hearing about a young kid from PA Memorial that plays defense and RB who’s supposedly already 6’3 200+
There's nobody like that at Mem. There is a starting db that is a really good rb, but he's around 5'9 or 5'10. The 2 rbs will be a sophmore and junior, neither are over 5'8.

Clover will have to dominate on both ends to give PAM a chance. The dip in coaching experience will hurt them the most this season. They have the players, just inexperienced. It'll be close early, then I see Silsbee pull away on the 2nd half. I agree, Tigers 15.

He just got an offer from Alabama as well. He's an excellent young man and these offers are well deserved!
Memorial needs someone like that. Lol
Congrats young man.

PAM's D is gonna be trouble for any team.
Question is how many points can the offense put up with their new offense. We know Ladia can sling it and they have athletic Wrs. How good is the Oline and Rbs. Those are the questions.

What position is Garth?

With all these D1 players, Memorial should be a shoe-in for the State Championship!
No one is a shoe in. Lol. Their 2012 team was stacked with Top D1 talent and they were a few games away from state. That was PAM's most talented and best team AND they were a 6A team at that. A whole lot of intangibles go into state championships, but this isnt different than any other year. Memorial always has talent and kids that go on to the next level at some capacity. The difference is what will the coaching staff do with it. PAM had over 15 kids that got scholarships this past season (the most in school history) and they were just another good football team.

They will have more soon. Always a good rb coming out of there at the very least
I'm predicting over 10 scholarships for sure. They'll have young rbs next yr. The starter might be a Sophmore.

PAM seniors probably not risking getting injured. Most of them got scholarships. Only reason they probably aren't on the East.

2 on the D Line 1 Safety

Daequan McMillan - committed to U of H.
Lazarus May - SFA and Lamar
Jacob Washington - Air Force Academy
Congrats to these young men.

Westbrook is ranked as one of the best 7on7 teams in the State. I don’t think they’ve lost a game yet, and crazy part is they’re doing all this without there starting QB (L’araven) Last years JV Qb Is the starter right now.
i wish Memorial, P.N.G and United was out there, no offense to the teams in attendance other then maybe Dayton or Nederland maybe, but I wanna see WB against teams like Memorial, P.N.G or United, most teams from this area are run first, plus those 3 teams will have the athletes to compete against WB
jasper won pool B btw
while Beaumont kelly came in 2nd
I agree. Memorial has a new kid at the helmet that has impressed a lot of people, but they're in spring ball.

#23 Hopkins was a really good runner as a freshman. Returned a lot of punts for big yards this past season.

Any word on who's in the running for the qb position at Memorial?

McMillian is a D1 guy, the others I can’t see it.
#30 for you guys is a D1 guy.
Memorial has multiple guys go D1 Every year. This class won't be any different.

I forgot about #11. The safety. Great D1 size. Needs a lil more speed.
-
PAM, Imo
#9 McMillan - He's a monster in the D Line
#23 Hopkins - Great athlete - A little taller and he'd be on everyone's radar.
#19 Mack - In for a breakout season with a passer at the helm.
#10 Thomas - LB, A tackling machine that' only gettig better.
#17 Ladia - The next QB, we'll have to wait and see. A college level arm and IQ. Could easily be the sleeper of the area.

Outside of PNG, those boys start at every school in the area, regardless of classification. Obviously some schools want a prototypical QB with a great arm and some want a more athletic QB that can possibly do both. I'm old school. I love a QB that can sling it, especially if he has a good running back. I understand where dBerrySports is goin with his post.

I agree with you. Understandably it'll take a lil more time for the passing game to catch up to everything else, but when it does, whoa!! This team is going to be scary good. The kid has 5 Tds and we all know that it could have been 10. Timing and being on the same page with his receivers. That's that inexperience Morgan talked about earlier. By district play, they'll be clicking on all cylinders.
