I for one won't make any excuses if the INDIANS lose but I also won't be on her bragging about it either.  Because whomever wins will be the better team Friday night.

Hope for a injury free awesome game Friday night 7PM at Memorial Stadium.  Can't wait until game time.

I'm looking forward to a good game win, lose,or draw.  Hasn't been this much hype about a game in a LONG TIME.

If Memorial wins big - They were supposed to, they have all the talent and a big school.

If Memorial wins by 10 - They're not as good as everyone says they are, I thought they were supposed to blow out the Indians by 30.

If Memorial wins by 1 to 3 pts - We should have won the game.  The score doesn't matter, Its a moral victory.  Winning isn't everything.

If PNG wins - We always knew PNG was a better team, PAM was overrated.  Talent isn't everything.  Our coach is better.  The intimidation tactics didn't work. We played with more class and discipline.  You need to teach the PA kids respect for the game and sportsmanship, not shaking hands got the Indians fired up.

Yea, that about covers the comments on threads and posts after Friday's games from the Injun fans.

    LOL

Yeah I went to do that and remembered this isn't TJ vs. PNG or Lincoln vs. PNG. This is Memorial vs. PNG for the first time every. It is a huge game in District 22-5A and if this series grows into a rivalry I will deal with it in about 10 years.

Its not TJ, Lincoln vs PNG, Nederland per say, but it is a Port Arthur High School vs Mid County school.  The schools don't have the tradition, but the cities have a tradition so to speak.  Its just a story on the history of the city rivalries relating to football.  I'm sure it'll start off with the past rivalries/games vs the teams and come to present day Memorial teams vs Mid County teams.  Regardless if the schools no longer exist, Lincoln and TJ students now have kids that go to Memorial, so the history still lives on in a sense.

Hey call it what you  want, but  save the  whining and name calling for  someone else.

He probably didn't attend PNG-Lincoln/TJ games....

Why don't they hold hands and hug it out before the game.  At the end of the day, if a team wants to not shake hands to mentally prepare for a game, get out your feelings and just enjoy the game.  That should actually give them more fire for the game.  Regardless, I don't think the kids on either side care, WE make a big deal of it.  Class or No Class, that's the question. lol

Much respect to RJ but not just him ALL of the Indians have given us a new lease on honor pride and tradition!!

True, its a team game.  But you need that special QB or RB on offense. Period.  You guys have the QB for 5he present and future.  Without him you cannot say PNG would be where they are.  Right???

you also have to deal with sophomore QB Roschon Johnson who is also a 247 sports prospects just like Crosby's

Yessir, Roschon Johnson and the O-line for the Indians are the X factors.  How well can they hold off the Titan D is the question. Titans offense will score, no doubt.  How much? Who knows, but if our def plays to their potential, PAM does not lose.

those were some good times he was so young and performed so well back then. I miss those days, all of us started out there with the PA Cowboys. You are right though, good luck Friday night

Look up Port Arthur Lil Titans on youtube.  I'm sure they have videos.  Might be the year he played.

Our back up qb fits what we like to do a whole lot better. When he and Hines were on jv as qb and rb it was scary. Yes he's on par or better than Johnson. He played some last year when bambie was hurt.

They played freshman together.  Yes, that was a dominant lil team. Imo, Jones is a better runner and much stronger.  Johnson is a better passer and runs really well.  Jones has a body type like a strong safety.  He had legit college size in the 10th grade.  Its said that they like Jones where he's at.  Playing multiple positions; he's getting recruited as an athlete.  Whoever they decide to play qb next year, they will still be dangerous.

He wouldn't be on varsity because he isn't the coaches son. That would be the only reason.

The last two years the freshman qbs (Jones and Ladia) were head and shoulders better than any other freshman or JV qb, but they stayed on freshman.  Have no idea why.  Maybe some idea. lol  But RJ started JV as a freshman because he was better.  That doesn't happen everywhere.  Just because its common sense in some schools doesn't mean its common sense other places.

I have been waiting for this one all year. Win or lose, this is going to be one helluva match-up.

I knew from the very beginning we would be undefeated into this week

Your little brother is the truth.  I remember him from the PA Cowboys and the Lil Titans when he was younger.  Put it like this; what he's doing now is NO SURPRISE. lol  We're proud of him and wish him nothing but the best.  Now this Friday night...........lol

  15. TradenupBH, nothing personal at all.  Its just a history of BS that goes on around here. I hate the fact that some grown men can't just talk football and leave it at that.  When others ( Not you specifically) throw out comments that have nothing to do with football is extremely frustrating, and its hard to just let it go when a LOT of us have history with some in the surrounding cities.  Heard comments, saw disrespectful acts, saw posted comments of every negative you can say about a city and we're supposed to be talking about simple football games.

  16. Hate all the way from Barbers Hill.  Wow, didn't know being proud and confident in your HOME TOWN HIGH SCHOOL TEAM  team was a crime. Everyone has an educated guess when it comes to their take on the final score of a HIGH SCHOOL football game.  Is it any different saying the Cowboys will blow out the Jaguars.  Shouldn't be, but when it comes to certain demographics in these surrounding cities; some have to watch what they say and how they say it.  SMH.  If I believe PAM should blow out a certain team or PNG will blow out a certain teams its because they've BEEN BLOWING OUT CERTAIN TEAMS.  Not because they're PAM or PNG.  Regardless of talent, because that gets thrown around TOO much.  Can we leave out unnecessary comments.  Most of us can read between the lines with some of these comment.  PAISD learning how to COUNT.  School numbers actually mattering now since PAM is in the district.  Playing with CLASS.  Learning how to win with class.

You guys want to know what class is?  Check this out....

Not too long ago, a 9-10 yr old PA team was playing an area team in football.  I won't say the name of the city.  Really doesn't matter.  But after the PA team was up 20-0, one of the kids told his coach that 2 players from the other team called him THAT NAME.  The coach asked them their name, and they replied.  He told them that the other kids don't even know their names.  So since this is football and we want to be polite, every time we tackle them STATE YOUR NAME.  We ended winning 56-0.  Score doesn't matter but the fact that little kids have to deal with ignorance being pushed onto kids is ridiculous.

  17. I heard someone say its a disadvantage to some of the smaller schools in 5a playing PAM, because of the school's 2,100 student enrollment, that they will have an advantage in some way. That they're still a 6a team playing 5a teams.  I think a lil over half of PAM's students are Hispanic and don't play football or basketball.  Does that help the argument that PAM doesn't even have a big pool of players to pick from as other area schools.  Just a conversation I overheard and would like some feedback.
