  1. A lot of kids don't see soccer as a cool sport, therefore the most athletic kids don't play.  It's hard for some families financially to keep there kids in baseball and hockey.  With basketball and football, you don't need much to succeed.  Raw talent and a hunger to "get out" is all some kids need to succeed.  Everyone in urban areas know a certain part of town that deliver talented driven kids because they're tired of struggling and know that sport can give them more opportunities.   It's not right, but some parents want there kids to focus on that sport more than school when they see or they're told they have a talent in sports.

I understand the whole situation, and maybe I'm just over analyzing things. But, if Shug is truly the Qb of the future why would you consider burning his redshirt? Plenty of athletes in the system to get a few useful reps out of at the RB position. Shug is 1 of only 3 qbs on scholarship. And more importantly one injury away from being the backup qb. Even worse, he gets injured and there's no #3. Ehlinger is certainly suspect to injury with his style of play.  I guess the part about him playing special teams really puzzles me. Not many backup qbs playing special teams....Maybe the holder on extra points and field goals? Again, maybe over analyzing but could this be an opportunity to move him to another position? Whatever the case, best of luck to this young man looking forward.

I thought the High School was built in mid 70's

For whatever reason Nederland never/rarely passes bonds.  Pt Arthur, on the other hand, always does - of course nobody works over there so it's mostly federal $$

PNG always does - industry helps and PNG wants the best for students/staff

I live in Port Arthur.  I work.  My brothers and sisters work.  My friends work. My sons work.  Who are you referring to?  Could you be a little more specific please...

Was the coach or the kid was getting the flags? If the coaches are telling you that they are going to try to get at you, just walk away from that bs, what more can he do? Bro you still responsible for your own actions regardless of what level of football your playing. It wasn't the whole team, just 3 or 4 who kept getting flagged, Seniors at that. The facemask calls, stuff like that can't be helped at times. Man in my 9th and 10th grade year I was an unsportsmanlike conduct king. Wasn't listing to coaches, because I wanted to do what I wanted to do. It took a situation like what happed last week for me to wake up and see that by me getting my payback, was hurting the team. Never got another one after that game. Those are young men, not toddlers hold them accountable when its on them. Coaches can only tell you what you need to do, you as a player have to decide if you gonna listen.

As a coach, what do you do? Do you keep them in the game and allow them to keep hurting the team?  Everybody has decisions to make.

I agree to an extent, but ever since middle-school you was taught they would always catch the 2nd person. I know fora fact that they was trying to get under our skin, and we let them. It started with Kingwood Park in rhe playoffs last year. Deer Park this year, but we fall for it everytime. They have to learn to pick your battles. There will be a point in every game where you can get you payback within the flow of the game.

That's no different than what we see every Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. Cant blame kids to always restrain from doing what college and professional players can't refrain from doing as well.  Blame has to go around. For this to be going on all season, the coaching can't go without some fault.  EVERYONE has admitted that refs have taken games away from teams at some point.  It was evident Friday. Can't deny a lot were called on 3rd and long. IJS

i know other PAM fans think i'm hating on the team, BUT we are half way through the season. we need to stop making excuses for the offense. the next two weeks will give them a push...then again, our defense is so dominant. i dare to say this team reminds me of old WOS teams  from the Hooks day of letting the defense win the games and put points up lol.  WR's needs the juggs this week lol...in the beginning i did hear them drop 2-3 passes. however, he threw alot in the dirt or well over thrown. i rode kadon hard, to be honest either kadon was better or the WR's he had was better. the one thing i like he doesn't do is take big sacks and he doesn't throw too many picks.

Not so much excuses, it is what it is.  Kadon was being groomed to be the starting Mem qb from the time he was in 7th grade.  Going home with the head coach and being personally trained by the OC qb coach.  That's 5 yrs preparation before his senior yr.  That's apples to watermelons bro.  Jones was an linebacker playing an.  Ladia has the talent and arm, but inexperience is showing.  I remember the coach saying that.  That's facts, not excuses. Comparing the 2 ( 1 had 5 years of preparation and the other had a summer)  IMO
