Goblin got a reaction from Mr. Buddy Garrity in Winningest Football Programs of the Past 100 Years 1916-2015 4A Division II Edition
I posted this over on my own site and thought I'd share it here.  Eventually I'll get the stats for all programs statewide but I started with 4ADII.  Unfortunately this only counts wins while playing 11-man football as the records for 6-man and 8-man are extremely scarce.
If it's not obvious the numbers on the right are Wins Losses Ties
Lots of love for WO-S and Jasper as Jasper makes 10 out of 11 lists and WO-S ranks #6 in wins going back to 1966 despite not even existing until 1977

I finally got around to reformatting and updating my old files so that they can be opened in 2016 software (I was literally using software from 2001 before this).  I've also formatted the old GIFs to Excel such that they can be opened as spreadsheets, downloaded and printed which people have been begging for for years.  I'm still updating some histories up to date from 2009 when I was last active and am making some brand new ones from scratch as I have a ton more data than I used to. If you see any definite errors please let me know and i'll look into it  i've put my own marks about questionable scores in the far right column.
MORE TO COME!  Just wanted to put what I have out now currently...

Goblin reacted to Hagar in Celina Loss
I'm Old and senile, but I sure thot prior to the season there were postings that this was a rebuilding year for WOS.  If so, this enhances the accomplishment of these young men.  Celina had a good ball club, just not as good as WOS.
Several years from now, When folks are looking back at past Champions, there won't be a footnote that Celina lost there QB to an injury.  Just 2015 4A Div II Champions WOS.
Finally, I wonder how many injuries helped Celina win 8 Championships.

I had to pick up a horse in Oklahoma, and on the way back, I saw I was not far from Celina. I went that way, as I had heard of their success in smaller school football. Their stadium is about the size of Orangefield, if that big. But, I could see the football pride there, as the grass was perfect and looked manicured, rather than cut. Everything there had a fresh coat of orange and white paint. Yes, the field and stadium was very small, but they could not have taken better care of it.
I really don't have a bone to pick with Celina, but I got real tired, real quick about they would have won if their QB had not got hurt. Their team was way over rated.

I had to make myself some popcorn to read this one.  Todd is a very good attorney.  You aren't gonna win against him but by all means keep trying.  I'm just gonna keep my mouth shut and watch.  BTW... Mr. Garrity... didn't realize you were a regular on the statewide 6A board I used to be on years ago.  They had a nice thread congratulating WOS by the way for those who haven't been over there.  Even had some PM's from Arlington and Southlake Carroll folks congratulating us so North Texas isn't ALL bad lol.

Here's a fun fact!  West Orange-Stark now has an all-time winning percentage of 79.81%... our highest ever.  Most historians require 500 games played to be considered "worthy" of being listed and we are currently 368-92-3.  463 games played.  If we lose the next 37 games to hit 500 we'd still be top 6 at 73.9%.  Chances are though we'll vault into #1 in 3 or 4 years.

Goblin got a reaction from redbirdsrock in WOS vs Celina State Championship
Yeah it was WOS that was ranked #4 when they played. I edited it.
Don't get me wrong, I support all SE Texas programs and wish the best for all of them but if you're gonna throw jabs at WOS it's infinitely easier to throw jabs right back.
Here's some trivia for you...  then no more hijacking I promise.

Goblin got a reaction from Mr. Buddy Garrity in Coach Tullos and George Ranch
Glad GR won.  I was surrounded by all their fans right before I left and they were all very humble and actually saying they were the underdogs but hoping for a good showing.  They were all pulling for WOS since a lot of them were from Foster and Lamar Consolidated, both of whom we've played in the past.  I'm rooting for Katy and North Shore tomorrow for all four of the greater Southeast Texas teams to make a clean sweep.  So far DFW is 1-3 (if you consider Brock DFW) with only one team left in Frisco Lone Star and East Texas only has Waskom.  When's the last time that happened?
