  1. I'm not saying I necessarily agree with the methodology but whatever algorithm they're using it sure is in favor of area teams with WOS, Liberty, Jasper all Top 10 in 4AD2 and Hardin-Jefferson #13. Bridge City and Silsbee #9 and #11 in 4AD1 and all the other classes represented quite nicely as well. They DO have WOS #8 out of all teams which is a rather large stretch and Celina is really really low so yeah. Good site to get points scored, allowed and records though especially given you can sort them. [Hidden Content]
  2. As little as you think of WOS judging from your comments on other threads I'm shocked Henderson is even worried about these "puny" SE Texas teams... WOS beat LCM 45-0, BC 55-0 and Silsbee 51-2... why the concern now?
  3. But then the troll wouldn't have got what he wanted would he? Hmmmm
  4. You guys seriously need to learn how quotes work
  5. I'm Barb from Stranger Things if she had survived and were male. Sorry I got killed off. I was actually gonna grow up to be the fun one.
  6. The site autocorrected that previous post but for the first time ever I prefer the autocorrect lol
  7. I wouldn't retweet. Not retweetworthy so zz
  8. Yes. Liberty exposed WOS for what they are. Unlike any competent scouting staff would be able to do without even watching film. 170lbs vs 280lbs hmmmm
  9. What happened in the early '80s that stopped TJ's rule of SE Tx football minus 4 years from PNG in the 70's and a few fluke years here and there from the rest? Always wondered. TJ WAS the team to beat in my dad's day and in my grandad's day.
  10. This thread I'm eating popcorn to about how Gladewater will beat Celina and have a rematch with Gilmer is better. Lol. Everyone is so sensitive.
  11. Imagine if WOS had the enrollment of PAM which they never have. I believe their max was around 1600 circa 1980. I know my sisters had graduating classes of around 400 in 1979 and 1981 and my class had 300 in 1987.
  12. WOS and Tarkington have the Butch reserved for Thursday IF we play them.
  13. *yawn* I can't believe this is even a thread lol. Woulda coulda shoulda... blah blah blah. The game's in the books. IF Liberty had had such and such... who cares, they didn't! If WOS had a bunch of 280lb rugby players to push back it would have been yet another 60+ game to nothing. Even without that and only having the ball 10 minutes WOS still had 330 yards of offense and 15 first downs. The problem with this whole argument is that WOS has the #1 rated Offense AND Defense in 4A so until a team can figure out how to stop both it doesn't really matter if you come up with a surprise plan to slow down one of the two. All these one-dimensional run only teams that look like they are seeing a ghost when the ball is actually passed aren't gonna put a dent against WOS. Once you get behind by one score you're pretty much doomed because you won't catch up and eating up the clock works against you at that point. When WOS went up 19-7 that game was over. Actually it was over when WOS went into the half up 13-7 because they knew they were getting the ball to start the 3rd which is why Liberty was already in desperation mode kicking that failed on-side kick to start the 3rd quarter.
  14. WOS would be in the Medium schools rankings. MaxPreps usually divides into 3 separate rankings. WOS was #5 in the preseason medium school ranking so I would imagine they're still top 5. [Hidden Content]
  15. If Orangefield were to beat WO-S next week they would be the District Champs. Another big game next week AT Orangefield.
  16. ... who's the best Texas High School Football Team in the State now?? ugh.. gotta pick again.

  18. I give Liberty major props. They used every trick in the book. If they had a pass defense they might have had an actual chance. It's all fine and dandy to rush 3 yards every play and go for it every 4th down and go for an onside kick to start the 2nd half but if you can't stop the other team from scoring it's futile.
  19. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades but yeah.. and it was four points 20-24
  20. Will it happen? Last team to do it was SFA in 1994. TJ's last was in 1982. Lincoln 1973. PAM never. Don't feel bad Ned, PNG and Beaumont fans. You have them beat on that record. Ned, PNG, Ozen, Central and West Brook have all accomplished the feat this century. Let them enjoy their season. It's not over yet though is it??
  21. I remember those days. I was a "senior" at Oates Elementary down the street. My sister was head cheerleader class of '79 and I always got out of school before her and would walk down to the high school to wait for my ride home. Don't think they'd allow that in the elementary schools these days lol.
