Had an inside source say he isn't winning enough games wherever he's at? I Heaney kept up otherwise

I’m gonna call bs on that one. I have a family member in KISD  that says he is the golden boy there. He is winning in all sports at a school that never won b4. Shoemaker has a high student turnover rate due to the majority of parents being active duty army.

So by your standards we should teach in history class that MLK had affairs with dozens of women and that he actually watched a rape take place.

I guess we should also dismiss anything tied to his history and tear down all statues of him and all streets named after him.

We’ll go even further and remove David from the Bible because he was an adulterer.

Even great men that do great things are flawed, you don’t get to choose which ones are dismissed from history.

I said nothing about dismissing anyone from history. What I wrote was proven fact. Yes MLK was a womanizer so was JFK. We do learn that in history. The whole witnesses a rape thing is more hearsay than fact.

  3. things we should teach in history.

    Sally Hemings

    She was Thomas Jefferson's slave.
Called his "mistress," but how can you be a mistress when you were a slave, a child, and could not consent? Had absolutely no choice?

She bore him 6, perhaps as many as 8 children. He kept her locked in a basement room.

The room was recently unearthed, and DNA evidence has proven the lineage of Sally's children.

She was between 12 and 14 years old when he started raping her, and Jefferson was in his forties. He freed the children that he had with her, but not Sally. Her daughter had to free her mother after Jefferson passed away.
This is not taught in schools. This side of history. We are supposed to consider the founding fathers as great men, fighting for justice and freedom, guided by God... when they were actually evil men. Selfish men who did nothing, if it wasn’t for their own aggrandisement, personal benefit, and financial gain.

I would also like to add that Sally was Jefferson's dead wife's half sister. Sally's mother was raped by her owner, who was Martha (wife of Thomas) Jefferson's father.

    These people left a legacy.
A legacy of entitlement under the most criminal of circumstances, and White Supremacist beliefs which pervade U.S. Society and Culture, to this very day.

Regardless of the struggle you point out here, wouldn’t you still want the most qualified person get hired, regardless of color?

ALWAYS. But the problem is when it comes to minorities we can have the same or better resume but won’t be looked at the same. It’s sad but true.

Here is my question on the jobs issue with minorities.

While it may seem unbalanced because you don't see "equal".....how does 14-15% of the population represent an even representation in the job market?

I don’t understand what you are saying.

Waiting on Trufan’s thoughts on this.

Lol. Actually you are making my point for me. Let’s look at what you said. You want the most qualified folks in a job. Here is the reality of getting qualified.
you have to get lower level jobs to get qualified. some athletic directors won’t hire black teachers/assistant coaches at all white schools which means it takes them longer to become coordinators and head coaches at smaller schools and a lot longer to become head coaches at bigger schools.

When whites are no longer the majority, will you be advocating for making sure there are enough whites in key leadership positions?

Wrong is wrong. But since you asked. Since blacks are the minority now Are you concerned about blacks in leadership?

Please leave and go to the country where you are more of a free man than you are in the United States of America. There isn’t one.

See this is the problem. You refuse to look at the questions because you know the answers are tough to hear. First thing you do is say “leave my country”. Lol. No one said I’m not  a free man. I’m saying we should teach true history. One of the truths about American history is that I the beginning freedom only applied to white Anglo Saxon Protestant white males. Every other group had to fight for their freedom and are still fighting to keep it because the group in power wants to stay in power. In the coming years whites will no longer be the majority race in America. I’m curios to see how you act.

  9. What’s wrong with discussing these questions in a history class?

    1. Who were the people referenced in the US Constitution that were not free and not Indian?

    2. When did that group gain its freedom?

    3. What discriminatory laws existed after that group gained its freedom?

    4. When did the US abolish those laws?

    5. What are the residual effects of those discriminatory laws?

Every basketball coach that has stayed at WO-S for longer than fifteen minutes has been successful.  McCarter went to state, Wilkins went to regional tournament, and Hancock was successful too.  All under basically the same regime as the last couple of coaches.  They also all coached football, unlike the last coach and the new coach.  Every school has issues and problems to work through.  The best coaches figure out ways to resolve those problems instead of bouncing.

Congrats and good luck to the new coach.  Can we stop calling each other racist now?

If you stop calling a racist a racist does he stop being one?

First, you never said you were black. Second, I guess that means you can’t explain your “markings” comment with examples. Third, what wide examples of an arrogant racist changing black folks names in the 21st Century do you have?

Naa you have no control here.  ipick and choose when I want to respond.

When someone reaches for the race card, you know they have run out of intelligent arguments to make supporting their point.

Lol. Old argument. Stop putting the race card in the deck. 🤷🏿‍♂️Y’all are clowns. With no real argument, just mindless support of your friends.

I remember that the posts in this thread are the first posts that @Trufan has posted in this forum in over 5 years (5/16/2015).  Six years older than the two "agitators" the you branded posted in this forum ( @2wedge in May of this year; @SmashMouth in February).

I do remember that the ax that trufan has to grind with Cornel Thompson has been carried by him for a long time. And that everybody who dared to disagree with him was dismissed as having a blind allegiance to Coach Thompson (much like he did here). And which I am sure that at some point soon I will be accused of.

I do remember that any issue with a Mustang African-American player he took the side of the player, any issue with a white player he cast doubt on.....heck he even panned Jack Dallas.

So I remember that he has an issue with Cornel Thompson.

Is it racial? I do know of a faction, small but loud, who opposed Cornel Thompson's hiring simply due to the fact that he was a white man.  I do know that he tried to infer that there was racism within the WO-C ISD athletic department.  Mind you, this is a district in which the superintendent of schools is African-American, the president of the school board is African-American, the African-American members of the school board outnumber the whites on the school board 5-2. The principal at West Orange-Stark is African-American.  Yet, none of them have registered this complaint....and with the current state of media, you know we would know about it if they did!  I do know that the "about the kids" has been abandoned in favor lamenting that "blacks can only get jobs in Beaumont, Port Arthur or Orange" talking about "head coaches"......not basketball head coaches, as his attribution of color would be wrong, not ADs as the number of ADs would be wrong, but a ratio that EXACTLY matches the racial makeup of HEAD FOOTBALL COACHES in this area.

So, yeah, I think it is entirely reasonable to infer his posts have nothing to do with other sports and that has a lot to do with the fact that a white coach is head football coach at West Orange-Stark.

I had to read this long fest a few times to see all the bs. This has all the markings of the people who do questionably racist **** but cover it by saying “I’m not racist because I have black friends”. Sooooooo if I use your logic I can’t be racist either because I have white friends.

Lol. A long winded  Bla bla bla. I stand by what I said. When hooks retired Thompson was supposed to get the job because at the time he was the best fit. We wanted to keep the program going. Anyone who knows him knows that he is a good defensive coach. But that does not mean you can run  a program as an athletic director. He DOES NOT possess the administrative and people skills to be successful. I believe that anyone can grow into a job but I don’t believe Thompson is willing to put in the work for anything other than football. That’s why ALL the athletic programs except football are FAILING. Now. Y’all can come at me with all the personal crap you want but business is business. As an athlete director dude is a failure. Prove me wrong.

There you go throwing around facts again… Lol. That, my friend, was a well thought out and cogent argument. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought I had written it. 😎

Lol. No that’s was just a long “I love my friend speech”. I made my point. Nothing you said disproves anything I said. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Your post indicates you’re well educated.  Please explain to me how any program with the word Theory in it is pertinent in teaching History.  Like most, I’ve studied history and never remember seeing Theory involved in any of it.  You need to open your eyes (if you even care).  What is being taught under the guise of “real history” is race division.  The Far Left wants a race war.  It’s right out of Marxism.

    Lol. You really are special.

Does this statement also apply to all schools or just to minority schools? Are we proposing different rules for different districts? Seems like a slippery slope.

Lol. Wow. Now I’m the racist. Lol. Let’s look at the facts of south East Texas coaching. FACT. White males can get a job at ANY school in south east TX. FACT For the most part black male coaches can only get coaching gigs in Beaumont west brook/United  Port Arthur and Orange. (Predominantly black schools). 3 of the 4 black schools had white head coaches. how many (total) black coaches are there combined work in Lcm, Bridge City, Orangefield, Vidor, Deweyville, Newton, Jasper, hardinJefferson, Hampshire Fannett, East Chambers, port Neches, Nederland, silsbee and Evadale? In ALL of these schools the coaching staff matched the student population.

If I were you I would let this go because if you want to talk about racism I can go all day with cold hard facts. Lol. And not things others told me. Straight facts about my dealings  with current coaches and athletic directors in this area.
