Bro show  me where I said that yates district was all that. And since ya bringing that up silsbee lost to some teams that wasn’t all that , atascocita, north shore , etc...and they barely beat Wyatt whom yates 2/3rd stringers beat by 40 ..and kill the football excuses y’all won state WITHOUT one of yalls best players  ..it’s like silsbee / east Texas fans want to point out the other team/s vulnerabilities but when it comes to yalls ...y’all either find excuses or don’t  to acknowledge your own. When it boils down to it yates has beaten the same teams that y’all have more impressively... lol and remember when y’all watching tonite # 23 for yates didn’t play vs north forest or Scarborough  ..which still means nothing ..lol

If both teams keep winning they will get it on and everybody will see the outcome whichever way that goes

Bro yates district is harder , and silsbee lost 8 games ....get on with the strength of schedule because if u look at the common opposition yates beat them worse ..save Cleveland ..Sam Houston problems??? just like Wagner putn almost a 50 piece on them , and just like ducanville shredding silsbees press ..and losing to my north shore mustangs whom are super inconsistent...bro at this point both teams are elite ..strength of schedule won’t have anything to do with it ..just my opinion from watching them both teams play yates has a slight edge ..

I can only imagine if both teams take care business how this forum will be in a week. One thing I know don’t matter who you rooting for the game can go either way IMO. The game want be won on the sports forum. I believe in my Tigers to the end so let’s just take it one game at a time .

    **UPDATE**

After further evaluation at Memorial Hermann, all signs are looking up. Surgery has not been ruled out, but is looking like much less of a likelihood than first thought. Thanks for the prayers!

Coached the young man in little dribblers definitely is a stud player. Life is way more important then this game we love we praying for you over here in Silsbee and wishing a speedy recovery get well young fella

More like the other way around..yates is favored in thAt game although it’s close to being even .. yates has a slight edge ....silsbee can beat them tho ..if both play their A game yates wins...but if yates slacks silsbee wins ..it’s a winnable game for both teams

Who has them the favorites Houston people

I don’t know about worse. I look at it like this, WOS gave Silsbee a great effort the first round. Yes, Silsbee gave it to WOS in round 2, but EC is better WOS. I’m not saying EC is in the same ball park as Silsbee, I’m saying EC has the ability to keep it competitive. Silsbee wins 10 out of 10 times they play, majority by 20+. EC’s lack of height is the biggest advantage for Silsbee.

So you don’t  think Silsbee wouldn’t have an advantage at the guard spots with arguably the best guards in area

Drove down and to SA to catch Silsbee in Dec. Wagner owned them. I’m not saying EC is in Wagner’s class. I’m saying they can be beat by a well coached, high pressure athletic team.

EC is still young so there’s that.

Maybe they need to put the game on schedule next year and then you would be able to see the difference Silsbee 15-20 bettter easily

Based on previous rulings, those who participated in the fight should get 3 games or so. I didn't see the video, but unless a player came out of nowhere and cheap shot a player not involved in the fight, I don't see any season long suspensions.

UIL sent out a memo beginning of season ZERO TOLERANCE so it’s only one way to get it right if they meant it

So much more to the game for an individual player than how many points a kid scored. SMH. Everybody thinks because a kid is a top recruit that said kid should avg 20 + points a game. I’m sure their are kids with better talent in the 10th grade, but do they have high GPA’s, top of the class, good teammate, not selfish, etc etc. some kids can drop 30+ points a game, but play no defense, cancer in locker room and don’t listen to coach etc etc. way more than just a stat line. Brady B is correct

    Yes yes yes

He had 23 and 20 in the two games vs Ozen.

He had 15 in the first loss to Central. I am not sure what he had in the 2nd game.

Memorial held him to single digits, so there is THAT subpar game, the rest are a stretch though.

I’ve said many times, very good player without much help around him and very unselfish. He’s outstanding for a soph. Can’t wait to see him junior and senior year as he matures and hopefully gets more help around him.

Really don’t understand what the big deal is he is a 16 year old kid he will have good games, subpar games, and bad games that doesn’t mean he cant play the maim thing he is a great kid understands the game and has a high ceiling and for the record I’ve watched him play all summer long beside my son so let’s just congratulate the kid.
