But then again he and the rest of you all that agree with him is still playing the race card when there is no need... Plus I have my own reasons for going for Yates (being that I was born and raised in Houston) so wherever I have your consent or not like I care about that I'm still rooting for Yates enough said

I was going to type a sarcastic response but I’ll just say “I understand “!!!!

Ahh the race debate again... Well as me being an African-American myself the stuff you just alluded to does not even matter and why should you even care?  The best teams from each region made it wherever they are a predominantly black or white team so it should not matter.  Honestly I like to see an all white team make it to state because that should let you know that talent runs deeper than race but I will be rooting for Yates simply because I don't like Dallas area teams wherever it's basketball or other sports.

I think he may be laughing at those type statements ..lol... but yea that can’t be the only reason your rooting for Yates  because you don’t like Dallas teams.

Of course he voted for himself.  Anyone who didn't vote for him must be racist.  Just like the refs are racist when he loses.  Great message to send to kids.  Now, sign on all your different logins and blast away, coach.

Geesh hoops dreams don’t show your true colors man !!!! PS ..I can assure you that isn’t a coach .....so blast away with your assumptions!!!!

  4. What was informative about the article that it happened in an urban area at an urban school, very unfortunate situation where a young man lost his life. But cmon you dont schools in the suburbs like Argyle, highland park or Bridgeport cheat it’ll never get brought to light i wonder wht, because they have money . It’s a game of have and have nots !!!

Seems like they should still be really strong with those 3. Mr buddy’s probably correct. And with their coach I’d probably add a State Championship to his statement. Never know though. I don’t know what type of teams other 5A schools will be bringing back

Region 3-5a will be tough —-Nederland Hightower,Crosby ,Katy Paetow, Fulshear Richmond Foster, Manvel ,Texas City

Green deserves a little more than minimal blame. He should have seen that slow start and nipped that in the bud right then. Is like none one had a sense of urgency until it was to late. But it’s only so much a coach can do, the kids shouldn’t have even been like that in the first place with a do or die game.

SC also came out with a hell of a game plan, doing the same thing the team last year did In the playoffs when we lost, make us shooters.

After i would’ve saw them in that zone I would’ve held the ball up 2-0 . But of course fans wouldn’t understand that strategy and would’ve started yelling play ball .

The legal guardian indicated that the two players, one is a junior and the other is a senior were home schooled and lived in the Yates School Zone for 2 Years.  The legal guardian have legal guardianship of those young men.  The guardian stated that the young men were taken in because they came from a trouble environment.  The two players did not play local summer ball in Houston.  The guardian stated that Coach Wise was not aware that the young men plans of enrolling at Yates until they enrolled at Yates.  HCYA is the home school the young men was enrolled in last year.  AGAIN the young men had been living in the Yates School Zone for 2 Years.  It's no one's business regarding where the young men came from before arriving to Houston.  The legal guardian had the necessary paperwork required by UIL.  Coach Wise reputation is on the line with the comments made by the head coach at HJ.

If you know you know , is kinda how that works . We know the real the story it’s not for us to put it out there to make certain folks feel comfortable but then again you could have video tape and they’ll say it didn’t happen like that . But what do I know

If the educational opportunity is so important, why wait until soph or junior year in high school?  The superior education was there long before the new coach was.  If you are the realist that you suggest you are, please don't insult the intelligence of others on this board with the "improved education" excuse.  How one grows up has no relevance whatsoever to adhering to guidelines and the spirit of the guidelines.

You missed the entire point but then again i wouldn’t expect you to understand the burdens of others or what they go thru on a daily basis. Funny you should say that Because I highlighted the part  you spoke of , in speaking to a parent whose kid transferred  to HJ , it was clearly stated he was there for that improved education loll.... Now i wonder why did he wait until his junior year to do so hmmmm..or should. I speculate like you often do as a know it all ...Don’t insult my intelligence sir I know exactly how things work around here.

  9. This whole thing about kids having to sit out is bogus. Kids don’t move by themselves parents move. these coaches get to come and go as they please for a better opportunity then why can’t the kids . To hell with spending my 4 yrs In a mediocre program if I’m a high level talent . Especially if the athletics  aren’t up to par . I know a lot of you don’t like it and that’s cool with me but i hate it . Oldschool 2 of the 3 kids were cleared so obviously there was no wrongdoing the other one played jv. HF does have a better school system than BISD. What most don’t know is one of the kids needed that change you guys only see basketball I see the other side . You don’t grow up like WE so I wouldn’t expect you to understand. .

All I asked is why do you think I was referring to you.  You were not implicated in the question.  An you are right, I rarely quit.  It's very inexpensive entertainment.

I’m mean indirectly yes because I’m the only person you keep asking that particular question but sorry to disappoint I can’t help you on that one. I’m sure AAW knows you should ask him!!

I have already asked you this before but you elected not to answer) do you think that if this message board has a rule of one identity per person, that it is ok for a guy to  have several identities, particularly to promote himself?
