Congrats to United ,Peyton and his teammates 2 a hell of a game, also Manuel shooting was huge for them cant overlook that. Great turnout for the city without any extra foolishness. They have 2 more games and possibly a 3rd . I expect it to be good games every time!!!!

I don’t think Silsbee is that bad , i saw some good things and a lot of bad things, but thats my opinion. Do they have the talent of past years of course not, but i think they can win with what they have . They are not ready to contend with schools like BU, WB, or those that are deep in roster size. The coach just has to find a style he and the team are comfortable playing and perfect it . I think they are a playoff team in their district which is all that matters just continue to play hard a figure it out before district comes around.

A lot of silence out there… but #9 SA Wagner fans and critics might want to take notice and have talking points like their doing West Brook. They just lost to Humble by 13—the same team WB beat on a buzzer beater. Maybe, just maybe, Humble has gotten better. Hard to say, but it sure looks like they’re better than people thought!!!!

I know it’s early but I would think Bridge City shouldnt have lost this one. Orangefield still missing a key player.

Idk what game or games those sources were watching 😆.Heck HJ shot the ball decent in that game. We have to attribute these WB wins to coaching because Thomas and staff has been to the promise land but him as a player and coach. So I think that factors in especially in close games . To remain calm so the players can too and execute.

Watching those games, it felt like WB should’ve handled those opponents easily. But turnovers—especially the unforced ones—were a major issue. Think about it: the opponents actually won the turnover battle and still couldn’t pull out the win. That’s because against a WB squad, you have to play nearly perfect basketball on a team that hasn’t gelledyet . On paper, this team is more talented than last year, but they haven’t reached that “better” level just yet.

That’s tough—there just aren’t enough minutes to go around. With 8‑minute quarters, the game flies by. I noticed Tillman, Jones, and Coleman were on the floor almost the entire time. So what happens with guards like Etienne and Green? Do they end up on JV once King, Manuel, and the QB return? The depth is great, but the reality is there just aren’t enough minutes. It makes you deeper, sure—but man, I don’t know !!!

Nederland has 2 kids who can possibly carry them to the playoffs if they stay consistent!!!!! They are the type of team alot of ppl will take for granted because looking at them they dont pass the eye test but they play hard and together and their well coached.

In all seriousness this is a different West Brook team, I think United transition was easy , you bring in 2 really good guards with a big who can clear the paint, and add two glue guys and your right back in the mix. Iykyk Coach has always favored guards!!!!

If defending state champs “means nothing,” then preseason rankings mean even less. Three games in or thirty — the film will speak louder than anybody’s opinion. Birdville, BU, Frisco Memorial… care good teams and well deserving but last I checked, games aren’t won on paper or in comment sections We’ll see who’s “way better” once the season actually unfolds. Until then, dropping a team to #20 for winning their games is wild.
