Bullets, most of the time I agree with what you have to say, but do you really think Silsbee would be that competitive against HJ. I have no bad blood with the Tigers, just watched them play about 5 times last year and a couple already this year. I feel like they are a slightly better than average team, but no more. By no means is that the gospel, it's just my opinion.

There is no one around these parts that can take out HJ. Silsbee fans are still disgruntled because they feel like they got cheated out of something last year. They are always complaining about the polls and how their team is unranked. You're not ranked because you haven't earned it, and you didn't get cheated last year, you just lost. Let's move on to the present season and play some ball. HJ has the talent to go back2back as long as that doesn't get into their head too much.

Thats not really a fair comparison because EC definitely did not play up to their potential at the BS tourney. Anybody that watches the Bucs knows they start slow.

I know the subvarsity team from last year mesh together really well and play some of the best "team" basketball I have ever seen. Outside of that I can't help ya much.

I'm not saying the kid can't play some ball, but what I am saying is that after watching the championship game it is quite obvious that last years WH team had more than one player contributing. Without the other 4 the Oilers are going to struggle a little.

Well its no secret that Tarkington has not had much success on the hardwood. And all I listened to this past weekend was how WH should have gone to a different tournament with more competition. So I just assumed they were going to wipe the floor with the Horns. But after watching the game I was rather surprised to see Copeland play a sloppy game and the Oilers lose. Just don't think he lives up to the hype. So NO I wasn't kidding.

Thats because you didn't stay long enough. T-town always turns it up in the second half. But I have to say I am glad you didn't see anything impressive because maybe everybody else this year will be blind too. Tarkington wins by 12!

Yeah the kid could have had 4 state championship rings. . .I don't feel too sorry for him. At the age of 18 they have seen more state championships than most coaches ever will. Good luck to Riley at UNT with dear old dad.

Who is their banger for the new season, because it just wouldn't be Splendora basketball if they didn't have some big mouthy football playin son of a gun on the floor that ain't got a lick of basketball sense, but know hows to foul.
