Dude, you barely know anything about your own program. I have dudes sitting in my hallway at work I show your post to that think you're an idiot. I don't resent Abseck and I couldn't care less about the outcome of BH's season. I have several buddies with sons on the team and in the program so for their sake I want them to see their kids having a good time just like I do my sons. 
Backing into the playoffs in 4th place and winning one game isn't more than Westerberg did when he got BH to the third round at Reliant. Abseck went .500 with the most talented team BH has ever had. Now y'all will be back to normal this year and probably a KP loss away from 4th place. Your o-line is suspect, your defense is still bad, your star receiver is out, you don't have plus running backs and you'll be breaking in a new QB on top of that. 
I love that we have Coach P right now but I'm not the least bit worried that if he leaves Crosby's program will take a nose dive. It's been proven from the Flannigan led squad that lost to Dawson in the third round, to the Riordan led squad that lost to Cedar Park in the semis, to the Prieto led squad that lost in the state finals that if you give us a competent guy on the sideline that our kids will produce results. Just the opposite is true in BH though. 
Reagan talks about 7 years for a coach to win a state title. Well, the last 7 years BH has had three different state title winning coaches and only has one district championship, in a year everybody else was down, to show for it.  It's been proven over the last 17 years that the only thing that can stop Crosby from getting into the dance is an inept school board and supt. 
My son turned 3 over the weekend and had his birthday party in south Dallas. My wife graduated from Dallas Skyline and all of her friends and relatives children attend school on that I-20 corridor from Oak Cliff to Duncanville. Her nephew is going to be the starting safety for Duncanville this year. When I tried to explain where Crosby was he cut me off and said, "Oh, we know about Crosby". This is after I ran into Carlos Lynn at Winners BBQ and tried to order two slabs of ribs from him while he was out to lunch with the Cedar Hill coaching staff. When I mentioned I was from Crosby he said, "Oh, y'all got something down there." So whether Prieto leaves or not, which I don't see with his son being in 8th grade, Crosby will be fine. BH on the other hand will still be trying to hire state title winning coaches just so they can beat us.

Seems like Crosby has become somewhat of a destination school for the free agents in NE Harris County. It's been requested that I not discuss our transfers in detail on this site anymore which I will oblige. All I'll say now is that West Texas Intermediate ain't the only thing getting exported our of the Permian Basin

Well, today is the first day of practice for the schools that participated in Spring football. Today will also be the high point in a bunch of teams’ seasons. Good luck to whatever group your team falls in and may your boys have a healthy season🙏🏾

I think Sterling fans are pretty realistic and realize how far away they really are. They've seen some good Lee teams so they know what good football should look like and they know they're no close to playing it. One thing that jumps out is the "He's in over his head" sentiment that someone posted in this thread earlier. I had a Lee graduate from the Dick Olin era who I really respect, who had a son playing for Coach Toomer, tell me the exact same thing with examples included. You can probably classify Sterling's personnel as "sufficient enough" to make the playoffs in this district though.
As far as the playoffs I think there's only really one spot left up for grabs. Anything can happen but as of now I would give BH the nod with probably a 5-3 district record. I think they beat the three Baytown schools, Porter and La Porte for their five district wins. I think their game with Kingwood Park is a toss-up right now though?
If I was to choose a dark horse in this district it would be La Porte. They have better personnel and now better coaching than the Baytown schools with the hire of Dobie's coach. They're also going to run a style of offense that this district doesn't defend against much. It's year one though, plus their coach got there late so I wouldn't be surprised to see them struggle again at all but I also wouldn't be surprised to see them go 4-4 in district play and back in to the dance on a tie-breaker.  

Dude, y’all are literally Splendora with nicer houses. I wouldn’t be making comments about the literary structure of anything on this site if I was you. Beyond that though, please feel free to take time out of whatever you have going on, they way they have, to write whatever you feel necessary about Huffman’s upcoming season.

I'll see if I can find the video from the Vype photoshoot a couple of years ago when they asked the BH players about the upcoming season. Their response was akin to the hype video. 

It just dawned on me that FB Willowridge’s new coach is also the dad of FB Hightower’s stud sophomore qb from last year’s 11-3 regional final squad. He moved to FBW with his dad when he got the head coaching job this past April. 
 
The only teams in this district that can really “out-athlete” FBW are FB Marshall and Texas City. IDK what kind of coach his dad will be but Kendron Penson is an absolute game changer in district with teams like Ned, PNG, Dayton and FBW packed as close together as they are personnel wise. Kid threw for just shy of 2,500 yards in a district with Manvel, Paetow, Angleton and Foster. This may be a situation like Jalen Hurts dad had at Channelview with his older brother Averion? I think the FBW games goes from a for sure win for Ned to a ?

Jdawg, thank you for continuing to do the work you are doing so far this year to maintain the quality of this board. I'd assume we will never again find men line WOS and AAW who will put in the work to make this site what it has been, but I applaud your efforts to try and keep it afloat. I know there are talented contributors from each city represented here, I just wish there was a way to bring them into the fold and utilize those talents. It seems that these days time is short for all of us and adding anything extra is crippling. Ignore the idiots who occasionally poke their heads up out of the sand.

Separation if you admittedly never watched HS hype vids then you probably won’t  be able to understand why BH’s is laughable. Most teams show big hits and big plays throughout their season and maybe the scoreboard of some crucial games. For example showing the first qtr score from the FBM game and then the final score. You know stuff that hypes up the fan base. Not some highlights from a home loss to a div rival. I think BH is def on the rise but that hype vid is comical and proves that CHS lives in their heads.

I guess I'm in the minority? I liked the uniqueness and colors of the old format. This feels very "big box" like our board has fallen in line with other around the state. I'm sure it's for the best though. 

They were the DCTF previews, I think that's why they were taken down. 

I’m a Crosby fan/parent so there’s nothing for me to like or dislike at BH. I just like to see kids get every opportunity possible and playing for a fully supportive staff is part of that. You kind of hit on it with your comment though. I think Abseck coming from Cedar Park has more adjusting to do to his personnel than TW coming did from Allen oddly. He’s not coming though so the subject is moot now. 
 
I’m hearing Crosby just picked up a 6’6” OLB from North Shore now so it’s probably a good thing we won’t have another high caliber PAPF to get through the system.

Is Crosby trying to recruit him or is he not completely bought in at BH? He’s also a good basketball player. Who’s to say he doesn’t want to come play for programs that are better than the ones he’s in now? Sometimes different narratives develop depending if you live east or west of 146. 
 
I don’t think there’s anything to that rumor, if there even is one, but a player like that wouldn’t be allowed to transfer to one of the better teams in the district anyway. You would have to get them pre-PAPF like BH just did with the Crosby qb. A Dixon-type transfer would be denied at the DEC level by a vote or two even if BH, Crosby, PAM and possibly La Porte all voted affirmative.
