​The only kid he for sure wouldn't beat out is Chubb. Sonny Michel is probably going to back him up, not sure who the other guys are or have seen film on them. In those SEC run games Whaley's downhill style can produce that 5 ypc average with the right offensive line which is why I think he's perfect for Arkansas too. A lot of the SEC backs come in rated high because they dominate in rural areas that would be equivalent to our 3A or 4A, once they get on campus it's a different story.

​I think UT gives their back every opportunity to be the guy, nobody has taken the reigns since Charles left though. Gray is great, but remember that Bergeron actually beat him out when he was there. I think Gray is a lot like all those 4 star backs Katy wins state championships with but never do anything in college. That's why I like to watch the film myself and do my own evaluations instead of just going off the star ratings.

What you said is exactly correct, but that's what you usually get as a D1 rep., especially as the #2 seed. District's 23 & 24 D1 reps. played each other in the first round last year and were a combined 37-3 at the time, all four had been ranked in the top 10 at some point in the season. Move over one district to 25 and you'll find that all four of their playoff reps. were ranked in the top 10 also, including state finalist Cedar Park who went D2 with 1,845 enrollment. I think every school in our district grew except Dayton, much like the majority of the state.
I think 22-5A was the opposite. Those two facts along with better coaching staffs across the river is the reason for some of the district's results lately.

I made a comment last year... It ridiculous how its ended up..... All the transfers, dynasty's, etc. Then moving everything to Dallas.. Art Briles was quoted after the 99 championship game with us in the Astrodome as saying, " He would never agree to play there again because of the 35k PN-G fans." I feel the same about Dallas. Its a great advantage for those teams.

​I've been saying PNG would win district ever since I saw them play at the end of last year. It's hard for me to look at their schedule and find a game they wouldn't be favored in including WOS and Nederland. I think per capita that PNG has the most delusional fans on this board, this year I think they're right though.
With all that being said, no matter what PNG does or how well they play this season, at the end of the day y'all still get Crosby or Dayton in the first round. Two teams that have combined for nearly 1k yards and over 100 points the last couple of first round meetings. Until that is corrected PNG will just be viewed by teams outside the district like the NBA player who puts up monster stats in the regular season that don't translate into playoff success.

I was going to do it like I did for 21-5A but you said we lost to Vidor 52-33 . . . So I'm going to take my ball and go home. 

​The myopic small-town mentality is what's getting the teams around here killed come playoff time. "We're going to win with our guys or I would rather lose" .  .  . and they do. As long as the rules are followed there should be no dissension.
If you look around the state you'll see Allen has a new qb that transferred all the way from Minnesota and is an Oregon commit already. Dee Anderson may be the best receiver in the state and he just transferred from W. Mesquite to Desoto. Kaegun Williams had a 1000/1000 season last year at Stephenville and transferred to Cedar Hill along with Michael Clark from Sachse. Christian Wallace is a beast who transferred from Sealy to Katy Tompkins recently. On a lesser scale PLC's qb, who was by for their best player, transferred to Victoria West for his senior season.  I could go on and on from just the last couple of months alone.
I hope people realize this is the way the game is played now. Especially at the big ISD schools.
 

Who cares why they moved. If this area is ever going to beat the metroplex teams in December, we need lots of move ins. That's what they do up north. School as success, kids begin to move in. I say bring them on. Lets build a contender in Crosby!

​Ok, there's 90k students in a 30 mile radius between UT and Texas State. You want to see a real spectacle, go to 6th street on Friday night. It makes Northgate look like the strip in a dairy farming community. I can't lie and say Northgate isn't a great place to close the deal but it usually takes a little more alcohol than it does on The Hill at SMU or on the river in San Marcos.  

Any list with A&M in the top 10 is a joke.  No way they are even top 10 in the SEC. Maybe they rank above Miss St. and Mizzou?

As for A&M, you have to realize when you are used to getting your dates from your animal husbandry subjects, any female looks good.  Have to get inside the mind of the gomer to understand the gomer.

They probably used it up dropping 57 on Nederland the week before. Imagine if D'onta Allen would've stayed there, Legend wouldn't have even been the starter most likely.

still can't figure out how they have so many great players the the stupid D1 big guys don't reconize?  
For example, has any of the purple peeps signed a BIG D1 letter, like Baylor, Texas, Tech, LSU,etc...?  Remember they have record setting players.  Just can't beat us and WOS or anyone from the Houston area
