So it's barely higher...pretty much the same...for 1st year teachers. Either way. That could potentially be a decent living for an educator. Especially if they have a working spouse that makes decent money. I guess it all depends on location.

Maybe they were talking about new teachers. He was pretty certain about Goose Creek paying more. Like I said...maybe newer educators. I haven't looked it up.

Summer league games are like swimsuits. They don't show you everything. No practice, no strategy, no rotation, ... don't put a lot of stock in something you see in a summer league game. Things could be quite different by winter.

Westerberg does make more. But he's earned it.

I don't have thoughts about the game. They're more about the school itself...so I'll just leave it at that.

Maybe they didn't get a trophy at the end of the year...and got mad. Nah but seriously...it's not a big deal. I think junior high kids probably play in junior high just to get a feel for it. There are probably large numbers of kids that don't make it through high school. For various reasons.

The whole region is weak compared to WOS. Even Bellville and Giddings will probably be 3+ score victories. Won't get a true (might lose) challenge until they face the Region 2 winner. Celina/Gilmer probably

I think Lorena will be a tough game for them. Winnable..but tough. If they get past that one I think they get beat by Giddings. We'll see though.

EC playoff streak comes to an end after 2 decades. Know what will NOT happen? The community will not freak out and try to get the coach fired. Because with schools like this, the town supports the coaching staff. Other communities should maybe take notice.
