I'm not saying what will happen one way or another. But...Silsbee beat Lincoln by 6 early in the year at a time when Silsbee was used playing and winning close games. Since then they've had 2 months of beating the crap out of bad teams...and Silsbee is down 1 Baylor commit since then. just saying.

The year that HJ had a great season (like 3 rounds deep) didn't they have several kids that played college ball? Like Rice (D1)? -

Bill Belichick would've gone 0-10 with that team...with that schedule. He may schedule some schools preseason that are "easier". But they're in a bind district wise unless they get some talent. Even if they go back to the northern district...Ok so replace LM, HC, HS...with Kville, Wville, Coldspring, Buna....yeah good luck. Better off where they are. At least LM is falling apart (relatively speaking). -
Foreman a finalist for a head coaching job

I'm no mathematician... but it seems to me that they ran out of talent in about 2010. Relative to the opponents on their schedule anyway. The school is 28-36 since 2010. Not very good....but if he went 20-9 in district games in 4 years then that's pretty decent. -
Sarcasm.

I came across this list: [Hidden Content] Apparently, it's every kid that's made All-State in Texas (basketball) from 1955 to 2013. I don't know how accurate it is but it's a heck of a coincidence that the schools across the state that are normally good have a lot of kids listed on here. Funny coincidence.

Hmm. Alright, let me weigh in. It's obvious that Coach Haynes is trying to schedule some wins. Or...at least some teams he'll have a chance at beating. I can understand to an extent. He'll want to come in a be the hero. I think it's probably not good to bail on a school in football because there are only 10 games and they're probably difficult to replace in the middle of the "home and home" 2 year agreement. So no, I don't think that should've happened. Like AAW said ^, finish out the schedule and remake it when the agreement is over. However. Did HJ willingly let Hardin out of the agreement? I have no idea. Maybe they did...not a soul here knows how that conversation went. In all fairness...it would probably be better if they didn't play. Only thing that will come of it is a guaranteed (pretty much) win for HJ. That's a different conversation. As for Stark. I've said this before... someone tell me just exactly WHO he should've scheduled. I thought the schedule was probably as good a schedule as he could've made. -
100% true.

Well, Big Sandy didn't win their district. But like you said...lost literally everybody. And yes your last statement it the point I try to make all of the time. Especially when people downplay someone's ability to coach. The amount of talent you have is more important than the ability to coach.

I'm not saying they aren't good coaches. But, last year it was pretty widely accepted that Kevin Foster (Big Sandy) was the best coach in the area. It's funny how much better/worse of a coach someone is based on talent. Just curious...is Coach Foster a worse coach this year than he was last? Again...just curious.
