The problem with that is that you get 3 and 4 seeds winning their first-round games every year.  As much as I hate to say it..that kind of justifies it a little bit.  Even if it doesn't always happen.  There are some districts in the state that are loaded compared to other districts and there are some districts that are garbage compared to other districts..just the nature of it. 

I've said several times that I'm very happy for the kids and community at Hardin that they have more Ws in the column than Ls.  That's fun.  But...that doesn't mean that they are a good team it just means that they've had a good year.  There is a difference.  Am I happy for them? Ecstatic.  Will I agree that they are good/improved/better?  No.  It takes more than a 7-4 record for ONE SEASON to convince me of that.  There are too many variables.  There's a reason that Boise State never gets to play for a National Title even when they have an undefeated season.

Man, I don't know about you guy but to me this looked like the worst game the Raiders played all year. LCM just owned us.

Encouraging JV season for the T'Wolves.  How did the freshmen T'Wolves do in 2018?  Hopefully, the good results from the JV team translates into more wins for the varsity squad in 2019.  Season #1 is nearly in the books.  The talent is there.  Seasons #2, #3, and moving forward should be good.  Rome was not built in a day.  Establish the foundation of the program and the pipeline of talent will accomplish great things.

I bet Temple plays all their starters as a high school football coach you cannot be afraid of playing anyone what kind of attitude do you think that shows to the players and as a player how would you feel if your coach was scared to play another team just to have an easier first round game?

I agree with you. I was trying to make a point that Matthews gets the very best and most out of what he has talent wise. Vidor can't compare records with PNG and Nederland because they have a different talent pool to work with over there

Been deleted once so I will try to stay calm. Bottom line those men do more in a season then most of you guys will do in a lifetime. You have a problem with Jeff then quit hiding behind past pirate, or past pirate 88, or realville and go talk to him, bet you don’t have the guts to.

Just like everything, it goes in cycles. It wasn't too long ago district 22, or 20-4a was struggling to split 2-2 or just not be swept in round 1 by their district.  I remember Crosby putting up Tecmo bowl type numbers on PNG in the playoffs. And the PNG fans warning the Crosby fans about running their mouth too much because things would cycle back around. And 14.2, the most hated Crosby fan, giving us all the statically evidence of why that would NEVER happen. And here we are. Go figure.

To your point, what coach would he hire instead of Babin?  Maybe him and a couple of his youth football coach buddies?  He probably warmed the bench in high school and doesn't know  about football but it should be an improvement over our current staff, according to this moron.

All this criticism of BF for running RJ too much. I don't know a lot but I know this: If BF doesn't rely heavily on one of the most talented studs to come through PNG, he would have For Sale signs in his yard.  As fans, we like to second guess the coaches who spend 80 hours per week watching film, gameplanning and working extremely close with ALL of these kids.  I think they have a better grasp of what will lead to success on the field than we do.

Wow y’all. Seriously??? How about we fix our broken leg (defense) and worry about the paper cut (offense) afterwards. Our offense is doing just fine. Yeah it could be better but how about we focus on what’s causing us to lose these games aka defense. And this is not me saying anything about those kids. But we need a better defense. Period! This offense has created quite a few great things in the past 10 years or so. How about bringing us our first playoff win in 50 years like it did in 11. How about bringing us 3 rounds deep which is the deepest we’ve gone since 50 years before that. How about it brought us our first tri district championship in idk how long.

I love how you people don’t think PNG played football till RJ arrived.  Don’t get me wrong I’ve enjoyed watching him play these three years and can’t wait to watch him play on the 40 acres but PNG has won a lot of games before he got here and we’re going to win a lot of games after he leaves. I understand that - isn’t RJ one of the top 5 leading rushers in the history of PNG. One could say his ability to run the football makes up a substantial part of that offense due to his God-given talents and hard work. I would assume neither Doty nor Morse were the runners he is. 
After doing a little digging, I found the following info in regards to Herman and his QBs:
2014 (Ohio State) JT Barrett: 938 yards/11 TDs 
2015 (Houston) Greg Ward Jr: 1114 yards/21 TDs
I don’t believe he’ll run the ball 30+ times At UT, but we’re delusional if we don’t think his ability to run the ball wont be incorporated in the offense.
