I think it's selfish for what he did. He has a family.  You know how embarrassed they're family is? Of course they gonna say that they are there for him because the deed is done, but they are embarrassed.

Looking at the results, apparently the ranchers in that area weren't doing much teaching to their kids. In fact according to the article, neither was the school district that only taught abstinence. 
 
I see no problems in a science class with telling teenage children, if you have sex, this is what may result and it does not end at pregnancy. It is not taking over parenting. Whether to have sex or sexual morals is an issue for the family but I suspect that has never truly happened going back to the "good ol' days". I graduated high school over 40 years ago and if people think that we weren't having sex.......................

Road rage incident is whats being said. I guess the shooter felt threatened and stood his ground.

deadly force triangle, hate this phone!

In the Navy being the Leading Chief on our VBSS team from the ship we are taught a little something called the deadly for triangle. If that triangle of opportunity, intent, and capability aren't met and we shoot and kill someone then we better get a good lawyer for the murder charges we are going to face.

unless you are a threat, you should not be killed period. He had a switch blade. They tacked him and arrested him. That should have been the end of it. FYI you cannot sever your spine or crush your larynx by banging your head against something. I wonder what bones were fractured. C1-C3? You can have a fractured neck, thorax or lubar without spinal cord injury. I am waiting for more info, but what i have heard thus far has be wanting more . It does not medically make sense.

Sadly it's normal.....my 9 year old was watching the news and asked "What happened" I told her A cop shot someone. She asked "On purpose?"... I said yes. Her reply was "Why is he in trouble?", cops shoot people all the time"...Now the fact that she thinks this is normal is because it's on the news every day...now it's up to me to explain to her the other layers to these situtations...the same conversations my grandparents had with me. I have to give my son the same speeches they gave me to make sure he comes home alive....nothing has really changed

Another thing...there are SEVERAL activist,athletes, media members that work to break the cycle....but that's not news....no one wants to hear that. They only want to focus on Jesse jackson, Al Sharpton, Quannel X etc like they were elected as the voice of ALL black people

Film away. Just don't interfere and that means stay a good distance away from the officers.

There is a bill currently in front of the TX legislature that requires a person to stay at least 30 feet away from officers if using video. It likely will not pass but I wish that it would go further and require people to stay that distance away from officers conducting business whether filming or not. Ten yards away is plenty close enough to get all the video you want.

It is dangerous for the officers and not only from the people closing in but they then have to divert attention away from a person detained or being arrested and have to deal with that secondart threat. That takes attention away from the person being detained/arrested which is always a danger. Bullets 13 has witnessed that riding with me when a simple citation for one person (like here sir, please sign this ticket) went to crap that ended in a fight for officers and three people going to jail. That is when a simple situation of signing a citation turns into a use of force incident and when people start getting hurt or killed.

There is already a law that says interfering (which can including getting too close) is a crime and carries up to 6 months in jail but the distance if used to make an arrest is discretionary on the officer. Simply telling people they can film all they want but give the officers space seems like a very clear way to handle it.

This riot has nothing to do with anything. People just being dumb. When A whole group of people do dumb things they make they whole race look bad. Instead of talking about the injustice for the Grey family it's all about them. That's taking several steps backs. How can anyone justify anything that's going on in that city. Honestly it makes people say well if this is how they act no wonder police use so much force. So many good citizens will get a bad rep over theses cowards. We're angry about the unemployment so let's burn the jobs down.

This is worse than Ferguson as to whats going on in Baltimore. Smh. Craziness. Pure craziness. I knew this could happen but wished it wouldn't happen.
