Hitchcock brings most of their skill guys back I know… Bellville will have some losses… but will still be good enough to be region favorites IMO

Agree with all of this. Never would have thought I’d see OF at this level of play consistently. Future is extremely bright for them.

They just have way too much firepower. One of their kids I know well is junior Elijah Sherwood.  Really good kid.  You could argue he’s the third best player on that team.  He would also probably be the best wing in the history of Orangefield basketball.  We would need to shoot the ball as well as we possibly could shoot it even be in the game.  Still a great season for the Bobcats, record setting season in wins and record tying season in playoff wins.  Future is very bright.

Our one big guy that could possibly contest shots and get rebounds has been in foul trouble the entire game (that would have maybe made this a 25 point game rather than 30 lol)

Interesting… Other than the second half vs Diboll I don’t think Kountze has played that well so far in the playoffs

I said after the Silsbee West Orange game that Silsbee is going to make the new West Orange area their new home away from home it’s a very Classy arena up their with a lot of really good 6a schools facilities if not better than that. 

Attended the Silsbee game there and it's very nice.  Great venue.  Don't know the capacity but it's about 40 million times better than that ridiculous Bryan gym where the region tourney was last year.  I assume the tourney is there again this year because the girls' was.  

The WOS Event Center is out at the edge of the galaxy limiting it's appeal.

There was a lot of talk about him last year during the playoffs.  He's having himself a year, leading the nation in ppg.  what an athlete!

They have now beat 2 of the top 5 conference teams on the road (tonight and Nicholls).  Have lost to two bad teams on the road HCU and UIW but responded well this weekend with this one and Saturday’s blowout of UNO.  And both the Nicholls win and this one were in OT.  Always encouraging to win those kinds of games in hostile environments.

Not sure where that comes from, ma’am.  I’ve always thought Whitmire is pretty composed on the sidelines, and the majority of the games I’ve seen him coach were AGAINST Orangefield.

The goal of almost every team Ever,  is to limit the touches of the opponents best shooter.  Defense stepped up after going down 0-10.   All teams grab shirts , shorts what ever they can.  They frustrate the player with the ball.  Everyone thinks Scales is a phenomenal athlete.  But frustrating him is the goal.  Just like teams try to limit Sells.   Refs call how they call,  Joubert preaches to his players , play the game and let him worry about the Ref.  An 18-2 run is Not the refs.   When you have been guarded the entire game , denied the ball and having to run around the gym all night ,  you also get tired.  Makes you miss shots later.  Legs are dead in the 4th.   Good luck in the playoffs and get ready for more of the same defense .  Hitchcock was there watching both teams.   Whitmire has done a good job and will be ready.
