  1. I've seen him in basketball this year. Any local varsity would loved to have had a kid built like him at rb this season. He is a man among boys in the 8th grade!!
  2. Do yourself a favor and go to the Heart of Texas Grill. While Mary Kay's is good the Texas Grill is better, plus it's on the way to the stadium. I eat there at least monthly.
  3. There is a very good place on the Northeast side of the San Augustine Courthouse square. "The Heart of Texas Grill" located as 102 East Columbia San Augustine TX 75972. Pretty neat place with very good fish, shrimp, and chicken fried steak. Pretty cool restaurant!
  4. I will be in Jasper watching Newton manhandle EF!!
  5. I just don't see how this is anybody's business other than the coach and the admin.. In my business you will get your behind fired for talking employee salary. Really, who's business is it???
  6. Instead of asking questions you already know the answers to you should ask for a mirror to take a good long look at.
  7. See?? That's what's silly. In Hardin 3 years is considered tenured and a long career. Remember the part where I said something to the tune of you're a perfect example of the problems in Hardin. Take a minute and read your own posts.
  8. You are a perfect example of why Hardin is and always will be a career killer for any coach the signs an employment contract there. Tod Stark has been one of the most well respected and liked coaches at every school he has ever been to. He is personable, gets involved in the community, demands respect from his student/athletes, and exemplifies good morals and character. This sums up his reputation everywhere he has ever been. Judging by the amount of community support he ended up getting in Hardin (a lot, for those that don't know) it seems that it was a select few board members and ex coaches that couldn't cut it that drove the final nail in his coffin. Personal agendas over the well being of the school and athletic program. By the way, until Stark left how was the Jr. High and JV programs doing? As a new AD that is where you start.
  9. Nothing good was going to come out of that thread so it was justifiably disposed of, good call WOS.... oldschool you are correct, Coach Stark is better off and I know he appreciates folks like you and your support.
  10. West Sabine 1 San Augustine 0 West Sabine 2 Colmesneil 0 San Augustine 4 Colmesneil 0
  11. This is historically one of the best tournaments around. I can't wait to be there!
  12. 10-6 CH end if 1st. Game was supposed to start at 6:30. Refs didn't show up until 7:15.
  13. Just a question...... In your opinion, what accomplishments or justification is required for a school to retire a jersey/number. At our local school only one number has been retired in school history. That jersey/number was retired in honor of an athlete that had won Olympic gold medals and played professional sports. There have been many collegiate players, state title teams, and record holders from our school but none of those were retired. There are only so many numbers that can be used on jerseys and it blows my mind when I hear of schools retiring jerseys for minimal achievements. What's your thoughts on this?
  14. Awesome game! Both teams gave all they could and it was back and forth all 4 quarters. Final Woodville 75 WS 74..... Came down to the wire....
  15. Reshod has had a few offers but I don't think he has committed yet.  I know Jmike will do well at Commerce, he is a great athlete but more importantly he is extremely football smart!
  16. Anybody that wants info on Reshod Williams should contact Tod Stark at Hardin ISD or John Jones/Jerred Wallace at West Sabine ISD or you can look him up on hudle.   For Jamikel Roberts I would contact Torrey Barnes at San Augustine ISD.   Also, for what its worth, both of these young men are extremely respectful, well spoken young men that NEVER get into any trouble.  They are model athletes!
  17. I agree!  You mention Jamikel Roberts of San Augustine anywhere from Tyler to Beaumont and most everyone has heard about him.  Not a knock on SA but it is a shame that he is stuck playing baseball on a team that is horrible, because he is a really good baseball player.  The kid is a natural at all sports!   Reshod Williams (West Sabine) was the district MVP in football, won the built ford tough player of the week during the 2014 football season, played in the border battle as WR for the Texas team catching every pass thrown his direction and blowing by defenders (was probably the fastest kid on the field out of both teams).  He was 1st team all district in basketball, and I would put him up against ANY centerfielder in ET/SETX in baseball.  He ran a 10.53 100 at the track meet in Huntington last week.  Not saying he is the best in SETX but you have to mention this kid when talking about some of the best all around athletes in SETX.  BTW, we have another coming up that may turn out to be just as good, soph. Demarie Smith......  you will hear alot about him in the coming couple years.
  18. This here is proof that you could never be a part of a solution while hanging around at the core of the problem.  Blinded by hatred!  Very sad.
  19. I would absolutely expect to be silent during another religions time of worship if I were to put myself at an event that I knew would be attended by a majority from another religion.  I would do so out of respect and I honestly believe that most from other religions would feel the same.  I really dont believe that all of this is coming from religious people, I think most of the stink is being raised by those of no religion, the absolute minority that has very little respect for anything except their own beliefs.
  20. I am beginning to believe that this is exactly the same thing Obama is thinking!!!!  I sure hope not!
  21. I agree, I don't understand why this is not a topic worth touching on when addressing the nation.  It was an opportunity for him to, at the very least, ease the minds of US residents, especially those living in border states.  Even if the white house is taking action to secure the borders it gives the perception that it is being ignored when it is not mentioned in an address to the nation pertaining to terrorist activities and solutions.  I would think that simply mentioning the borders would help ease the mind of the citizens and maybe help as a small deterant to the terrorists.
  22. I don't post very much however I do read a lot and there is only one member that I would categorize as meeting all of your criteria............   Big Girl = GIANT TROLL plus  all she ever does is respond to a question with a question.  It reminds me of Steve Carrell in "The 40 Year Old Virgin" when he goes into the book store and hits on the employee by only answering questions with questions.  For example, when the employee asked him "what kind of books do you like?" his reply in a very seductive voice was "what kind of books do you like?"..........  Really, it was hilarious!
  23. I agree with you there and it absolutley did not backfire on either (more specifically Palin).  However, my  original intent was to state that it COULD backfire.  These types of political sabotage have been the norm in places like China for decades and it looks as if this could become a popular stategy in the U.S.. I sure hope not, our election process has become enough of a circus already!
