I don't know what you are, but what you said is a very offensive. The same could be said of all Races of people, but that's not how I want my kids to view the World. When Harvey hit our area, I saw people helping people, not caring about Race, or Class. This is why my Family STANDS. Many died for me to have a choice & we choose to Stand. Rule #1 Know why you are starting the program & stay true to those guidelines. My question is why are you starting a program when there are plenty to choose from already? Just asking because many teams are formed because a certain kid didn't get what he/she expected. Well, what happens now is the Summer teams have just gained another inexperienced organization that doesn't know the ins & outs and have asked kids to play & if that parent gets frustrated, now we have another team that will form from that situation. Look up & we have 50 teams in a 10 mile radius & probably one organization knows what it takes to build a program, or what College Coaches need & want from a prospective player. My advice would be to first be an assistant to an organization & learn a few things before jumping into the fire. I admire the fact you want to help young people, but sometimes we can cause more harm if not properly prepared. Inbox me info if I can help in any way. God Bless

Getting to State is Hard, back to back appearances is even more difficult. Hats off to these young men as they embark on another journey to the Title. I've seen some good teams over the years, even played on some good teams. I've never witnessed anything like this Silsbee Team. Bring Home that Title Guys!!!! Good Luck Guys

Wow!!! I wasn't at the game, but it seems like HJ allowed a ton of layups. Transition defense certainly would & slowing the game down may have kept them within 20 points. Silsbee definitely is as talented as advertised, but the question & comment I have are; how can a Coach of Silsbee's experience @ longevity allow his team to jack up 30+ 3's in a 32 minute game?? Old school Coaches catering to this Asinine summer ball style of play. If you can't run an offensive set young pups, you will be riding the pine or on the first thing smoking back to SETX if you're fortunate enough to play at the next level. I'm sure the kids practice FT's constantly, so I'm not sure why they shot so poorly. Hopefully against better competition Silsbee can tighten up a few areas as some of their fans mentioned previously

Congrats Lady Panthers in a great win tonight. After the game, my Wife & I stopped in Al T's for dinner. We saw a few of the Barbers Hill girls basketball players having dinner also. We exchanged good luck in the next game & went our separate ways. Very nice young ladies.

I tell my young players all the time: Don't make a mistake that cost you your FREEDOM or your LIFE. It doesn't matter if he's a minor, unfortunately the young man put himself into an Adult situation. I'm not the judge or the jury. I totally understand what you are saying, but it's out of our control. He put his Future in the hands of people who personally that may not know his character. He has a Testimony now. He now has a platform to Educate others on this incident.

Definitely a tough situation, but the Punishment must be FIRM & JUST. (I know the punishment has been issued) If Parents, Coaches, Mentors would follow these guidelines we would have less incidents like this. Kids & Adults may not agree with the outcome, but they will Learn to RESPECT it. I believe this incident will have a far lasting effect on all involved. Hopefully there can be closure for All families and both schools. We never want to see anything like this in any aspect of life. I'll leave with this side note. I've benefited from Basketball since the first day I ever suited up. My Family and I are still reaping the rewards of this great game. Respect the game and it can take care of you for LIFE.

Back on topic, My Panthers need some Prayers in these trying times. We know the kids are tough, but this can really be a distraction to those who can't handle the recent change.

I think it is a little off topic, but definitely has room for discussion. I'm an old guy who played almost 30 yrs ago, but I know talent when I see it. I haven't seen a collection of talent like this in at least 20 yrs, but the fact remains talent alone doesn't get it done. I'm not on here trying to get under anyone's skin, You guys have every right to believe whatever it is you want to about your team. Those kids will have SETX as a whole rooting for them and any other team as we did for WOS in football. ST413, the real season starts soon, the depth along with the experience from last year may be the X-Factor to finally solve the puzzle. We shall find out soon enough. Regardless of the outcome, we will always support our SETX kids. Just fun to create a few waves for the Silsbee Yacht. Your guys are battle tested, nothing to worry about. See you in SA???
